When running on battery, a very short runtime followed by a temporary shutdown is typically associated with the unit’s protective thermal or overload safety systems engaging, which can occur if the machine is under continuous high-pressure demand, using a narrow spray nozzle, or experiencing restricted water flow. We recommend ensuring a steady water supply (minimum 45 PSI), fully priming the system before starting up by running water through with the trigger engaged, and using the appropriate nozzle for the task to reduce strain on the motor. Allowing brief pauses during extended cleaning sessions can also help prevent thermal cutoff and improve consistency. On battery operation, runtime is highly dependent on battery size, pressure setting, and duty cycle, while corded operation will provide continuous use as you have observed.
