For open box units like this 2300 PSI pressure washer (SKU 5110302-OB), it is important to note they still include a 3-year warranty, so if you experience any issues within that period, you can reach out for support rather than needing to replace the unit again.
To help extend the life of the pressure washer, a few maintenance and usage tips can make a big difference.
1. Always fully prime the system before starting (run water through the unit with the nozzle removed and the trigger pulled for 30 - 90 seconds).
2. Avoid running the unit without water, and make sure you are using a consistent water supply with no kinks or restrictions in the hose.
3. After each use, it is also recommended to disconnect and drain any remaining water from the pump, especially before storage, to prevent internal wear. You can protect your pressure washer from winter damage by doing the following: Disconnect all water connections. Turn on the machine for a few seconds until the remaining water in the pump exits. Turn off immediately. Do not allow high-pressure hose to become kinked. Store the machine and accessories in a room that does not reach freezing temperatures. Do not store near furnace or other sources of heat as it may dry out the pump seals. NOTE: Use of a pump saver will give you better performance and increase the life of the machine.
4. Periodically checking the inlet filter for debris and ensuring all connections are tight can also help maintain performance.
If you notice any drop in pressure, unusual noise, or startup issues, addressing it early can help prevent larger problems. And if anything does come up, do not hesitate to contact support with your receipt and model information. This review/website doesn't even have the machine i bought, it's GPW2500 pro 2500 2.0 max GPM. To register it that website asked for a picture of receipt, which I don't have handy, but it also said skip this and save my information..... and that didn't work so well. Let's hope the machine works well and it's just your websites.
