Expensive. And the string is not wound correctly. I had to dig the end out twice so far as it was buried. This has been consistent. Last year I bought string from a box store and wound the spools myself because of previous problems. This year I got lazy and thought maybe they had improved but I was wrong.

We are sorry to hear that the spool was not wound in a way that allowed for smooth line feeding and understand how frustrating it is to have to stop and dig out the line during use. In some cases, the line end may become tucked under during handling or shipping, so we recommend pulling a short length of line out and re-seating it through the eyelet before use to help ensure proper feed. It may also help to lightly unwind and rewind a small portion of the line to relieve any binding and confirm the spool is installed correctly in the trimmer head. Sorry to hear about the frustration with the line feed, while it is great to hear you are happy with the power, the bump head should advance line smoothly without needing to take it apart each time. When the line is no feeding properly, it is often related to how the spool is loaded or normal wear on the components. Make sure the line is wound evenly and tightly in the correct direction, and avoid overfilling the spool, as that can prevent it from advancing. It also helps to check that you are using the correct line diameter recommended for the unit, and that the line is not fused together from heat or friction. Lightly tapping the head on a hard surface while running at full speed (rather than slow RPM) can also improve feed performance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointed in the 2.0 AH batteries. They only last 10 or 15 minutes. Have to charge them twice to weed eat my small yard. Would not have bought this if I knew they were so weak. Larger batteries cost twice as much as the weed eater did.

Batteries hold their charge and the unit is much quieter than any 2 cycle gas trimmers that I have ever owned ! Worth considering if you need a reliable trimmer and don't want to mix the fuel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this item on sale as I have been increasing my Greenworks tool collection. The item comes as you see in the picture on the website, but the item box shows an extra bar on the auxillary handle. This handle did not come, so the auxillary handle sort of is held by the twist screw, with nothing on the other side. This could be a possible safety hazard, as there was no bolt included for the other side, and even if there was, it does not line up without that bar. The item assembly was easy enough other than that, just a couple screws and put it together. The item performs as expected for a trimmer.
