Outstanding Upgrade for Serious Gamers

Right out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how weighty this mouse felt — substantial but not heavy, weighing approximately 113g. I've been perfectly satisfied with the 1000Hz polling rate and 1600 DPI default, which is a good all-around setting for games as well as productivity — even without changing any settings, it feels incredibly responsive. This mouse has wired and wireless options, the scrolling wheel is consistent and smooth and I found the snappy right and left click buttons satisfying. On the brightest setting, the RGB mode really pops in the dark. Of course, you're giving up battery life for the lighting effects, but anyone looking to buy this mouse is obviously interested in the aesthetics, and I don't think they'll be disappointed in all the options and cycles available for customizing colors to match their gameplay perfectly. I would have appreciated a removable thumb rest, but the overall ergonomic design meant I got used to it in no time. This mouse is a great option for anyone looking for an edge in their gaming.

Decent for gaming but with flaws.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had razer mice for years and was in need of a new one. This has been surprisingly good, even with knowing it's meant to be a gaming mouse. The battery life is really good. The accuracy is impressive. It's not as good as a wired mouse, but I wouldn't expect it to be. The charging cable is incredibly well made. I like that I have the option to use it wired or use it wirelessly. The form factor is easy on the hand. Theres a deep groove for your thumb to sit which is great for gaming. The additional buttons on the mouse are decently made but if you plan on traveling with this, youll need to protect it. Ive had parts break off of my mice in the past due to being bumped off of my keyboard tray. Theres a good chance something would break if you travel with it continuously. There's two points that keep this from being 5 stars: the price, and the software. Razer Synapse will cause more headache than the product itself.
