[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have come to love Klipsch products for our sound electronics needs. Personally I use this as part of my tv surround sound set up with the Klipsch speakers and soundbar too. The sleek design and pretty bronze color make these really nice to look at. But the main reason I like the set is the sound quality is great for the prices. This adds a lot to the set in terms of rounding out the sound.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hooked this 12 inch sub along with my Klipsch F-200 floor standing speakers in my family room in the basement. I love the sound it produces. Set up and tuning everything was really easy and the components look great in my space as well. My room is big enough it constitutes this 12 inch sub and it blends perfectly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have the floor speakers this subwoofer is a must have to complete the package! Very quick to setup, self amplified, LPF and gain adjustments on the back to tune to your liking. I have the sub reflex port off the wall about 6 inches to get the most out of the bass reflection and fill the room, in this case my whole house. I love that the sub does not sound empty and the lows are felt as much as heard. There is no hesitation, no popping, no distortion just pure raw bass. You have to hear it in person to enjoy what I am stating in words. I could not recommend this subwoofer enough, just get it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the nicest subwoofers I have ever owned. The bass is deep but crisp and the overall addition to the rest of my sound system is incredible. It is quite large so make sure you have space for it, but from a performance standpoint it is an awesome sub.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: This sub does exactly what it should, gives good clear pounding bass and has a ridiculous amount of power. The inputs/options on the back are very simple but actually give a lot of flexibility. For example, usually your receiver will have a Pre Out (or similar) connection which is 1 RCA plug to go to the sub. This has 2 RCA connections so that you can plug a cable into only 1 like usual or if your receiver doesn't have the dedicated connection then you could take a different output with Right+Left RCA connections and put them into the sub to make sure it doesn't miss low sound being sent to either side. It also has the low-pass filter so that if your receiver doesn't have a filter then you can send all audio to the sub and it will filter at whatever point you want. I like the On/Auto/Off power control, my older receiver has a power plug in it for the sub so I'll leave it On so it powers up when I turn the receiver on. However a lot of the newer receivers don't have a power plug in them for a sub so you can leave this hooked up to a wall outlet in Auto and it will effectively do the same.
The bad: Now I want bigger speakers to go with my upgraded sub haha!
This is a fantastic sub, it adds tons of power and they didn't overcomplicate the controls. Just be aware that it is really big and heavy so you need space in your room for it (I mean it is a 12" sub after all). I love the look of Klipsch speakers with the orange, but if you prefer black it does come with the mesh cover.
This sub has two inputs; right and left. And whatever the signal that comes out of the receivers preamp sub output, this sub will now except. You going to have to plug them into you back surround RCA jacks. It works fine.
