I own a canister Dyson, but, honestly, I hate using it. Needed a lightweight, powerful option for day-to-day use. I can't believe my luck! This vac does a great job on wood floors *and* area rugs. I have a large cowhide rug; the Dyson is too much for it and it's always a battle. This gem cleans it beautifully while gliding comfortably. No physical battle. I'll save the Dyson for baseboards and use the Bissell for everything else! Don't hesitate.

Was looking to purchase a hand vac but, decided to purchase this stick vacuum because it also has a a removal handle and floor attachments. Has great suction though, not meant for heavy cleaning or rugs, too lightweight for that. Great if you have wood or tile floor. Only one complaint is the cord is way too short, only 15 feet long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is another product that I love in fact this particular one I bought for my son as a gift for his new home because I already one one and love it it picks up dirt the first time and is easy to carry around the house since it is so lightweight I own nothing but Bissell products and love everyone of them that I order some again and give them as gifts
