Absoutely terrible installation manual

This was one of the worst experiences I ever had with a consumer-installable product. The installation manual was a sloppy hodgepodge of several ice maker kits and several fridges, none of which precisely fit the WRT311FZDW (20 cu ft top freezer) I actually bought it for. Many parts of the manual were unclear or outright wrong for this fridge, and I had to make many strange jury-rigged loops to get all the tubes to fit, completely unlike the diagrams in the manual.
The particular kit I received was also missing a wiring harness for inside the freezer, and the remaining one was too long to fit into the cable guides, so it's just sticking out the bottom now. Additionally, the spout angle did not match the actual opening in the fridge, so there wasn't a way to neatly get the extension tube lined up. It ended up falling into the freezer to who knows where, and I had to cut a longer tube down to the correct length manually, but it's still at the wrong angle.
Ultimately, both the kit and especially the manual were very poor made. Between this experience and the actual fridge missing a door handle hole (separate purchase, separate experience), it really makes me wonder if anyone at Whirlpool still cares about quality and the customer experience at all.
This was a phenomenally bad experience and I would not buy from this brand again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
