Fast machine, flimsy breakable plastic casing

We bought this product 3 months ago for our son going into High School to replace the Google Pixelbook that he has had since 2nd grade. We even upgraded the case to a more padded, structured version. The screen was excellent resolution and nice touch responsiveness. It was fast and worked well for his needs. Unfortunately the casing is a flimsy plastic that can break quite easily which renders the machine useless. The machine worked before lunch, he put it in its padded case in his locker, and after lunch it no longer would power on. I understand kids can be hard on machines but we were all frustrated that the Pixelbook lasted 6+ years (through elementary school) and this only lasted 3 months with increased protection. I had hoped a machine that is markedly more expensive than the Pixelbook and marketed for school use could withstand more. If you plan to keep this machine in one place, this is a nice choice. If you plan to take it with you anywhere, plan to buy bubblewrap and a new machine soon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
