Over all baking

The stove top is fine, the oven sucks. Old recipes dont bake the same.what took 32 min in my old GE now takes 36-38 min. Preheat doesn't really meet the set temp for at least 30 min bc I use an oven thermometer too. The heat varies 325-370 when set at 350. When you open the door the temp automatically drops 15-20 degrees. So between cakes I must wait at least 20 min before temp goes back up. I had my cakes down to a science. Cookies are a whole other monster. Now this new fancy thing is not all the hype!!BTW I did recalibrate +13 degrees. I wish I had my old one back. I definitely would not recommend. I am very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We’d like to provide information about your range, and assist with the issues you’re having with preheating and baking. As your new range likely has a different cooking system than your older model, we do expect it to cook a bit differently. This is discussed on page 25 of the manual, linked here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--PkgVyVpP--/bf6b0c32b639c98fd27d18c7eb0b4a8abec66651.pdf. That page also discusses what to adjust if food isn’t baking as you expect it to.

Regarding the heat varying, the oven elements are designed to cycle on and off throughout the cycle, and the temperature is expected to vary by up to 30°F higher or lower than the set temperature. The goal is to maintain an average set temperature. More information about what to check if you think the oven temperature isn’t correct is available here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=19172.

Regarding the preheating time, multiple factors including the room temperature and number of racks in the oven can affect how long that takes. As your range is taking longer than expected to preheat, we recommend turning off the circuit breaker for the range for a couple of minutes before turning it back on, to reset it. More information is available at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16540.

If you aren’t able to solve the issues you’re having and think service is needed, our Bodewell team is available at 1-833-426-3393. They are open Monday – Friday, 8AM – 8PM ET, and an appointment can be scheduled online as well, at this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service. A technician would be glad to examine the range for any issues.

We'd like to assist with your range's control panel not functioning properly. We recommend disconnecting power to your range for 30 seconds. This can be done either at the circuit breaker, or by unplugging the unit. If the issue continues, we recommend you schedule an appointment with one of our Bodewell technicians by calling 1-833-4BODEWELL or visit this site: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service.

Disappointed
on March 4, 2026

Replaced “identical” 2016 GE Profile range with the one purchased. The new range is an inferior product. It takes too long to preheat. Stainless oven racks are inferior to the porcelain coated racks on 2016 model.

We appreciate your loyalty to our brand, and we'd like to address any issue you're having with your new range. For the issue with preheating taking too long, we recommend disconnecting the range from power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds before reconnecting, to reset it. Additional tips for this issue are available here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16540.

Regarding the racks, your model is compatible with optional self clean racks, JXRACK3G, as well as the racks it comes with. These enameled racks are heat-resistant, easy to maintain, can stay in the oven during Self-Clean, and won't discolor or dull. If you'd like to view those, you can do so at this link: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/JXRACK3G?SpecType=SpecType.

We utilize high-quality materials when we manufacture our appliances, and your feedback regarding the oven racks will be shared with our product team for future consideration. If you aren't able to solve the issue with preheating and think service is needed, our Bodewell team is available at 1-833-426-3393. They are open Monday – Friday, 8AM – 8PM ET, and an appointment can be scheduled online as well, at this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service.

The temperatures are true and that's a real plus. The timer is difficult to set and hear also. The sounds need to be a little louder

Air fryer is disappointing
on March 4, 2026
Posted by: Ben Franz
The air fryer does not cook food well at all. This option added cost to the price of my oven that I will be using very often because of its performance. Disappointing. I was hoping to save some counter space for my separate air fryer, I guess not.
Response from geappliances.comBy AdrianGE_AppliancesMarch 5, 2026
We are sorry that the Air Fry feature has not lived up to your expectations. We encourage you to view the Air Fry Cooking Guide for this range on page 17 of the Owner's Manual here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--PkgVyVpP--/bf6b0c32b639c98fd27d18c7eb0b4a8abec66651.pdf

Your feedback is extremely important to us. We will pass these comments regarding the Air Fry feature along to our product team to review.

Range top is garbage!
on March 23, 2026

Range top is garbage! High heat then off high heat then off. That is NOT how you provide low heat. BURNS EVERYTHING!!!
Response from geappliances.comBy JoyceGE_AppliancesMarch 24, 2026
We want to help you with your range burners and explain how they work. The heating elements will cycle on and off whether or not there is a pot or pan on the burner. It is normal to see a visible orange or red glow as the element cycles on and off. Please review the following troubleshooting link.

https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=37769

If the above doesn't help, please reach out to our Bodewell service team by calling 1-833-426-3393 M-F 8:00-8:00 EST.
