Good day,
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us. We can understand your concerns about the durability. If you experience any issues with your dishwasher, please let us know. We're always happy to help! Mike@GEA
I received my GE dishwasher as part of my new home package, only to discover that most of the appliances are very low quality. I've sold the electric range, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and replaced with LG at similar cost. The stovetop scratched severely the first time I cooked on it, the dishwasher was extremely loud as was the washer & dryer which jumped around a lot. The dishwasher control panel was made of very flimsy plastic material. I kept the microwave & fridge. The microwave lacks features and when I boil something on my stove, all the steam hits the front of the microwave with full force, even though I run the exhaust fan on high. The fridge is ok, not great, so far. Sorry, I'm not a GE fan!

The water doesn't go into the dishwasher and it is NOT the plumbing!

Good day,
Oh goodness! We're awfully sorry to hear that your dishwasher is not filling up with water. We can absolutely understand how frustrating that can be. If the dishwasher is not filling with water:
Verify whether Delay Start is selected. Cancel delay start or wait until delay is complete. Make sure the water supply valve is open. It is typically located under the kitchen sink. Ensure that the water supply line has no kinks or clogs. Check the household water supply is not turned off.
If you have determined that none of these tips will resolve your issue, then you may need to consider scheduling service. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
This is pretty close to the bottom of the line dishwasher. It came with our new build and less than 6 months old. It doesn't always want to start, you have to open and close the door about 6 times to get it to turn on. The racks inside are already splitting and rusting. I anticipate the dishwasher might be as good as garbage soon. Only reason it got 2 stars is because it does clean the dishes.

The dishwasher gets everything clean at the first wash, and the drying feature always leaves everything entirely dry and ready to put away. There are also nice additional options for cleaning.
