Just because it is new.....

I bought a new home and my dishwasher was included but I didn't get a choice. I never would have bought this model as it seems to be the bottom of the line. Very cheaply made. You can tell just by opening the door. I love GE but I wouldn't buy this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dish washer doesn't work

Installed dish washer in new house - went to turn it on and it doesn't work. Called GE and they can't get anyone out to even look at it until next month.

This isn’t the experience we want for you, and we regret any inconvenience this has caused.
After reviewing our system, we do see your service appointment pending. We are confident the dishwasher will serve your needs well once this issue has been addressed, and we’ll let our team know of your experience for review. If you wanted to try any troubleshooting in the meantime, checking the fuse or circuit breaker to make sure enough power is reaching the unit, and the control panel to make sure it isn’t locked, can sometimes help when the dishwasher isn’t running at all. We have more troubleshooting tips starting on page 19 of the manual; if that may help, it’s linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000218-2.pdf& .

Plastic inside. The Utensil holder could be better. Maybe have a cover on it so you can put the utensils in individually. Nothing special at all about this dishwasher.

Stopped working when I moved into my new home

this is the horrible product. went into brand new construction home and tried using this appliance. it turns on and after few seconds it stops.
