I had the same model, older version, this is so much better. I really like the built in drip container, it opens up to a flat grill/griddle, the plates are reversible to grill and is a lot easier to clean.

This is my 3rd Griddler. I purchased a different brand that I used for a year and finally decided I needed to go back to the Griddler. This is so easy to keep clean and the non stick surface really works and lasts. You can cook everthing on this machine. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, smashed potatoes, toast, sandwiches, steak, hamburgers, hot dogs, brauts. etc.etc.
