Bought it primarily because the grills are removable and can go right into the dishwasher. The Griddler is very versatile, can be used for so many cooking tasks. But our favorite is to grill bacon. With the self draining system the grease is easily discarded and clean up is simple.
Doesn’t heat up to really put marks on the bread or make it super crispy. I have it on with the grill part and on grill / panini and high 400. Also I had to hold the top down , it doesn’t seem to lock in at a tighter height.
This started off as one amazing gift. Super useful, love how the cooking plates can be changed. But sadly after a couple of uses, it no longer works. I plugged it in and nothing happened.
In press and panini mode it is difficult to close, the lid becomes too hot to shift into the correct mode. It would be nice if there were a handle to shift it into the position.
I love this grill, it's my second one. I wore the first one out until the meat was sticking to the top. Very happy I was able to find another. It's a perfect size for a big fat juicy steak and takes up very little space in the corner of my counter.
The concept of this appliance is good, but the actual results are less that optimal. I have used it several times to make panini sandwiches and they never get evenly cooked. I purchased the Griddler to make grilled cheese sandwiches and the cheese always ends up melting and oozing out before the bread is toasted. Haven't used it for anything else yet.
