Great USB port addition

I like using the 3 USB ports on this adapter more than using my laptop’s, I think because I can never seem to remember where they are, and they are never where I want them to be. I also like that I can leave my USB peripherals and USB Memory keys attached to them when I leave the office. The USB-C port is great for OTG drives and certain adapters, like Memory card readers and Network adapters.

I have been in the AV/IT Integration space for over 30 years.
I found this unit easy to setup and use on my Microsoft, Android and Apple devices. The USB Hub is powered through USB and supports various small and large USB devices. the unit is compact and is a must for the road warrior or remote office worker. The unit installs quickly with no additional drivers or software required, and is compatible with a variety of operating systems, which I tested.

It just works.

Simple, no external power hub. Nothing flowery. Just reliable function and solid build. What else do you want from an unpowered hub other than function and throughput?
Great for quick connections, or needing a USB-C port on a device with only USB3.0. Worked great on Windows, Linux, and OSX. My son has an older Chromebook with only one functioning USB port. Now he has this in his bag, and can connect his card-reader, thumbdrive, and external mouse at the same time.
Throughput was to as expected (nothing remarkable so I didn't write anything down!).
Don't be tempted to use ALL the ports at once for charging as it will either get wonky, shut down the host's USB port, or even crash the host.

Nice USB 3 hub for the person on the road

This is a perfect little hub for people on the go. It is small easy to use as there is nothing to do but plug it in, It takes a single USB 3.0 port to 3 USB A ports and 1 USB-C port. Now having the option of a USB-C addition to devices which may not have it is enough of a reason to purchase this little device. It worked great with my solid state external usb and with my mouse.

You need extra ports? Now you have them!

The HB30A3A1CFB 4 port USB 3.0 hub (3 x USB-A and 1 x USB-C) is a great addition to any PC or laptop if you need to add extra ports or definitely a must for the road warrior on their travels. With three USB-A ports along with one USB-C this should be enough to cover someone for all devices they would like to connect for access or charging.

Good for a laptop/notebook, not for a desktop.

I purchased it with the intention of plugging it into my desktop computer's front panel port and mounting it on the top of my case, but the cable is too short for this purpose... I'm sure it's great for a laptop or notebook!!
