I have built the Japanese cherry-blossom landscape set twice, once for each daughter. One placed hers on a shelf. The other easily hung it on a wall. Both are thrilled with the beauty and uniqueness of the scene; neither had previously ever seen a Lego picture. I am 94 years old and a beginner Lego builder, but I found them a lot of fun and quite easy to assemble. The instructions are very clear and amazingly the sets come with no parts missing. (How can they package exactly the right number and kind of 2000+ pieces?). I did, however, give the set a rating of 4 rather than 5 because of problems with the foundation and base. When first assembled they seem solidly attached, But the plates do not attach securely to the base and the constant downward pressure of pushing in the bricks eventually cause the center pieces of the base to fall out repeatedly, thereby giving the plates no support. This happened on both sets. I solved the problem by gluing the small areas where the base planks meet each other. I recommend that builders do this before they find during construction that the center has given way.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback! How awesome it is that you're discovering the love for building at 94, welcome to the community! We really value your opinion and will pass it on to our designers. You definitely should never have to use glue to keep your sets together, one tip we could give is to make sure that while you're building, the pieces are pressed tightly together. If you would like any further help, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via LEGO.build/Service

I have built the cherry blossom tree, maple tree, tranquil garden, and the Himeji castle; I love Japanese culture. This set is right behind the Tranquil garden for me. Very pretty piece and glad to have it in my collection. The 1 star reviews make no sense to me, don't believe the hate!
This was one of my favorite builds. The complexity is easy but that feeling of placing the frame over the art and seeing it almost finished was a oh wow, that’s stunning moment. From afar, you’d never know it was a Lego piece.
I’m a huge fan of the Lego art sets. This one was no different. My only problem was getting the bird to stay in place. Otherwise, I enjoyed the experience.
This is by far the prettiest art piece I've built. The simple layout with the carefully designed details makes for an overall elegant look. The first things that solidified my decision to buy this were the colors, the detailed frame, the waterfall and the little cranes. HIghly recommend to complement The Great Wave or any of the art or botanical builds.
I love this set! The colors and the easy to follow directions! Buy it, it’s worth it!!

Great set, impossible to hang

Why why why in the world would anyone decide to design two hook points in the back? Lining up one hooks without being able to view from behind is already difficult, lining up two hooks that has to be perfectly spaced apart is borderline impossible. I'm convinced no one at Lego actually tried to hang this up themselves.
