Love it!

I cannot believe how much joy this has brought my two little kids. They love running out to see our visitors when we get alerts, scrolling the snaps and watching the videos. I knew I was getting a bird feeder, but I didn’t expect it to create such a fun experience for my family.

The Best Gift!

I received the Feather Snap Cam as a Christmas gift. As soon as the box was opened it was ready to go. Set up on the railing of our deck was a breeze and birds found it in about 10 minutes! I enjoy documenting birds in the Bird Book, researching birds and watching the live cam! I’m impressed that the camera takes three quick snaps of each visiting bird and you can also request a short video of its visit. Delete when you’re done or download to your camera roll. Easy to use and, oh, so much fun!! The best gift!

Seeds do not migrate within

Amazing idea and photos…BUT seeds do not transfer through the hopper. Have to constantly shake the feeder to make them go from vertical to the horizontal trough. I am feeding hulled sunflower hearts on one side and mealworms on the other.

GREAT with one issue

Love the bird feeder. Love the quality of the feeder. Love the pictures. Love the app. Only issue is the feed (regardless of what kind) does not want to feed down into the tray. It seems like every couple days I have to use a stick to move the feed from the house to the tray. I find this somewhat annoying.

Impossible to charge battery

Although the camera is amazing, the battery needs to be recharged regularly. Even with a solar roof. This wouldn't be a big deal if you could easily remove the camera to recharge the battery. Every time I need to do it, I struggle for about 10 minutes, bruise my knuckles, and hope for the best. Just now, I had to give up. So my FeatherSnap is now just an expensive analog bird feeder.

Not good

It does not keep a solar charge and frequently drops the wifi. When connected to the wifi, the battery shows CHARGED AND THE WIFI STRENGHT STONG.

Limited camera options without subscription

Unlike other camera feeders you can’t watch live video without purchasing a subscription. Would have been good information prior to purchase of the feeder. The built in solar charger is helpful.
