[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this laptop for about a month now, and my overall impression is that it's an average laptop at an above-average price.
The primary issues I've encountered are:
• Performance: I've experienced sporadic black screens while using Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, along with random, unexplainable beeping sounds. The startup time is also slower than expected for a new device.
• Operational Quirks: The fingerprint scanner is inconsistent, and I've been unable to prevent the screen from turning off and going to sleep when streaming music, which is a significant inconvenience.
• Design Flaws: The arrow keys on the keyboard are smaller than I'm used to and are positioned too close to the Pg Up/Dn buttons, making editing and navigation difficult.
On the positive side, the adjustable keyboard backlighting is a useful feature, and the Lenovo Vantage app provides helpful settings for managing the laptop's longevity. The laptop doesn’t weigh too much for its size, and the graphics are pretty good.
Overall, if the laptop was free of issues, this would be worth its value. But with the issues, this is only an average laptop for an above average price in my opinion.
I love it. It's easy to use, and it's fast. When it was a time for a change, two IT professionals recommended Lenovo, and I couldn't be happier with the experience.
