[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My laptop frequently black screens and I will be taking it in to be fixed before the warranty it out. Apparently this is a common issue with Lenovo laptops, otherwise it is a pretty standard laptop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The drivers for volume control and brightness control have already glitched, the battery has already shown signs of degradation, and the computer is not nearly as fast as you would expect given the advertised specs. Does not feel like a new computer at all.
