I've been having some issues with the phone, sometimes it just freezes and restarts by itself also some occasional stutters.
Also the phone has an annoying rattling noise coming from the SPen every time the phone vibrates which is unacceptable for what the device costs.
Definitely not worth the update if you have an S24 Ultra.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery life/capacity of the unit should have been increased with this model. It is only still 5000mah. Add to unit the 1UI7 update which drains batteries faster.

My experience with the S25 ultra.

My current experience with the S25 Ultra is currently the same besides the S pen not having the Bluetooth features from the S23 Ultra which I upgraded from. Overall it's a great experience the battery charges very fast, the camera is pretty decent I mean I don't really see any changes but it could use improvements, Galaxy AI as well as Gemini are great additions and people are starting to think that Samsung needs to replace Bixby with another or an upgraded AI phone assistant. Just overall and well-rounded phone not too many changes but then in the last few years to the hardware. The software it's definitely improving and getting better and better over time.

Great features and fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before this phone I had never used AI. After trying it was easy and accurate when using. I especially like capturing photos of my fossils and rare rocks. It gives me excellent results. Actually it's great for all photos. Using this helps perfectly with my medical problem lists to better understand their meanings.

Disappointed After 10+ Years with Samsung

I've been a loyal Samsung user for over 10 years, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the last straw. The camera is a massive downgrade. The S22 — and especially the S23 — performed much better. On the S25, the autofocus constantly struggles: it randomly shifts focus points, often locks onto the wrong subject, and forces you to dig through forums just to get a decent dual-plane shot. To get anything usable, you have to switch to the ultra-wide lens or Pro mode — it's ridiculous.
The camera takes forever to launch. Anything in motion is a blurry mess. The photos look flat, dull, and lifeless. Even the 10x zoom on my S21 Ultra — which is nearly five years old — is better than this. I’ve actually started carrying my old Samsung phone just to take proper pictures. That alone is incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
A phone should be enjoyable to use, not an obstacle every time you want to take a photo. No matter how good the rest of the phone is, the camera ruins the experience. Huge letdown.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
