The Nakiri knife has a 6.5 inch blade which is ideal chopping fruit and vegetables.

The knife feels good in my hand and is so sharp. It slices beautifully. I usually hate prep work, but this knife makes it enjoyable again. I had not realized how dull my other knives were until I used this one. It is not just the sharpness of a new knife, though. It feels better in my hand than my others.

Would prefer a larger handle like my four star Santoku knife. But still comfortable and over all not too bad.

Nakiri to complete set

Purchased to complete a set of 15 kitchen knives and specifically for chopping vegetables. Like the other 14 (some of which we’ve had for 20+ years) this is an outstanding piece of workmanship. Utility and design define this series, as we learned after going through many knife sets of lesser quality, buy the best first and you won’t be disappointed.

Very sharp and easy to maintain. The balance and feel are great. The blade stays sharpe only needing a quick stroke on a fine stone or strop. The Nakiri is a pleasure to use. It makes short work of veggie prep and gets me out of the kitchen faster. My 8 and 10 inch chefs knives are feeling somewhat neglected. Thanks for a great kitchen tool.
