[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these for myself. I love to cook and really wanted a good knife set. My old set (another brand) has lasted many years with no issues. I wanted to upgrade. When unwrapping the knife set, I found the items to be a bit light, but well balanced in my hand. I inspected each one closely. Only one had a small scuff on the handle, but overall they seem very well made. They are sharp, but in my opinion, regardless how sharp a knife is, it’s the object you are cutting that’s going to bare the results. So if your steak is tough, any knife might have issue’s cutting. A few things, one…although the set is 18 pieces, you still have 2 spots remaining open. Some people are complaining how the knives are too loose in the block, they do seem to be. And lastly, the set is made in Spain. That’s not a deal breaker for me, but wanted to point that out. Overall, I am happy with the set, and look forward to many years of using this set.
