[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like this newer model better than my old one. It feels better and makes it more enjoyable to use. Also like the color. My dental cleaning is on Monday and I am hoping for accolades on my efforts!

Hi Nubin,

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the performance of your Philips Sonicare Toothbrush. Please note that if your toothbrush is vibrating less powerfully, we recommend charging it overnight for at least 24 hours because a toothbrush without a fully charged battery may need more power to vibrate at its original strength. The chargers for all Sonicare toothbrushes are different and not compatible with other Sonicare models. We recommend charging the toothbrush using the original charger that came with it. It could also mean that your brush head is worn. We recommend replacing your brush head every three months. You can purchase a new brush head in our online store.

We hope this will improve your experience. However, if the issue still persists or you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact.

Hope to speak to you soon.

Kind regards,
Philips Consumer Care

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my toothbrush for several months and even though I’ve swapped the head for it a few times it still turns off randomly in the middle of me brushing. Is there a reason for that? And I don’t mean the 2 minute timer that’s built into it either.

Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your Philips Sonicare 4100 Series toothbrush stops randomly.

If your toothbrush turns off by itself, the troubleshooting tips below may help you find a solution. The selected brushing mode defines the brushing time. Your toothbrush will turn off automatically when the recommended time is up. We recommend changing the brushing mode. Brushing mode times can range from 20 seconds to 3.5 minutes. The QuadPacer is an interval timer that has a short beep and pause to remind you to brush the four sections of your mouth evenly and thoroughly. This Philips Sonicare toothbrush comes with the QuadPacer feature activated. The SmarTimer indicates that your brushing cycle is complete by automatically turning off. Your toothbrush measures the pressure you apply while brushing. If you press too hard, it briefly stops, indicating that you are using too much pressure.

If these steps do not help or if you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact.

Hope to speak to you soon.

Kind regards,

Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that the cleaning power of your current Sonicare toothbrush is not meeting your expectations. To resolve this problem, we suggest attempting a few troubleshooting measures to see if they provide any assistance. If your toothbrush has a low battery, it may vibrate with less power. We recommend charging it overnight for a minimum of 24 hours using the original charger that was included with your toothbrush. Certain toothbrushes come with the EasyStart feature enabled by default, which gradually increases the vibration strength over the first fourteen sessions. If you prefer a regular vibration level, we suggest deactivating the EasyStart feature. The performance of your toothbrush can be affected by worn brush heads. We recommend replacing your brush head every three months. Different brushing modes have different vibration levels. If your toothbrush offers multiple modes, try selecting a mode with a higher vibration level. Turn off your toothbrush and press the mode/intensity button to choose your preferred mode. Some toothbrush models have intensity settings that can impact the vibration level. Please refer to your user manual to determine if your toothbrush has this feature. While brushing, adjust the intensity by pressing the mode/intensity button.

The toothbrush does a good job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toothbrush works well, but it has a little smaller head than the last one we had. Water and toothpaste seem to run down the handle too easily. Otherwise it has good power.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Sonic Electric Toothbrush for Father's Day 2023.
At my next dental appointment for cleaning in early August 2023, my dental hygienist--who has been my dental hygienist for over 10 years--asked what I was doing differently because I apparently had a greatly reduced amount of plaque and tartar.
I told her I was using a Philips Sonic Electric toothbrush and had for the past two months.
She told me it made a noticeable difference.
