Great for display not so much for play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] She's a great doll for displaying but not really so much for playing with. Her dress is glued to her legs in the front and doesn't seem like she would hold to a child abuse. My daughter thinks she is beautiful but says she needs to live on the stand that she came with.

Beautiful, Posable, and Durable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barbie Basics 08 Model Doll is ready for the runway! She’s well-made and so versatile. Her limbs are all movable, including having jointed hands and feet. Even her midsection is jointed. She’s very stylish and has beautiful details. She’s gorgeous in her beautiful pink dress (which is held down by tape on her legs for collectors!) and hoop earrings. Her hair is held together tightly, protecting the style even after hours of play (minus a few strays that have come loose). Her eyes are a gorgeous hazel with light brown tones. Her lipstick is a deep, sparkly maroon that compliments her skin complexion. I love how she provides hours of screen-free time for daughters. They have enjoyed adding her to their Barbie house. We highly recommend them to others who collect or love playing with Barbie!

Nothing Basic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This basic Barbie isn’t basic at all. She’s so beautiful. Yes the outfit isn’t flashy but I like the simplicity. My kids love it and love that they can see their friends in her. I try to have many different toys for them so that they learn everyone is beautiful.

Fun new Barbie style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls were so excited to receive this Barbie doll from the Play, Rate and Review program. I had never heard of the Barbie Basics line before, but it looks like an interesting line. I like the elegant, classy outfit on our doll. And the possible joints are way more fun than the Barbie's I grew up with. Being able to change her head is a little weird, though it might protect the dolls from being destroyed by children in the "behead all toys" age.
I appreciate the stand that came with the doll, but the certificate of authenticity makes it feel more like a collector's item than a toy.

She's quite stunning

Her strappy heels and matching earrings really add to the look. Sleek hair put in a bun is so classy and beautiful with highlights even! Can't wait to get the rest of the collection to exchange the outfits and looks!
