[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is four years old and she definitely enjoys playing with Barbie. She likes the softness of Barbie have and the legs and arms move. My daughter still like to put toys in her mouth and Barbie is no better which I think is good. The detail of the Barbie is lovely. I like that my daughter is unable to take Barbie shoes at. I don’t think I could find them is she did. I like the arms and legs are flexing. My daughter like to move Barbies arms and legs. Barbie hair is gorgeous, very soft and the curls are beautiful.

Barbie Basics Model 09 is a Cut above the standard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has the Barbie Basics Model 09 doll from the Neutral Collection, and honestly, she’s one of those pieces that immediately feels like it belongs in a more elevated, collector-focused lineup rather than a standard release.
Right out of the box, the first thing that stood out to me was the gold shimmer dress. It’s simple in silhouette with that empire waist, but it catches light in a really elegant way without looking cheap or overdone. The matching strappy heels and statement earrings pull the whole look together nicely—it feels polished, not gimmicky. My Daughter also really appreciates that the outfit is made from that stretchable, universal-fit fabric. She tested it on a couple of different body types, and it genuinely works, which makes her a great base for mixing and matching across a collection.
Her hair is another highlight. The long brunette style in a half-updo with cascading curls frames her face beautifully. It feels soft and styled without being overly stiff, which is something she checks for if she is planning to restyle or photograph a doll.
Speaking of posing, the Made-to-Move tall body is a huge win. She’s incredibly versatile for display and photography. She had no trouble getting natural, dynamic poses, and she definitely feels designed with collectors and content creators in mind.
As for the face sculpt, she really does have a lovely one. There’s a softness to it that works well with the overall neutral, sophisticated theme. Her skin tone is matte and aligns nicely with the darker tone dolls in the “You Create Barbie Basics” line, which helps maintain consistency if you’re building a cohesive display.
Overall, my daughter was really impressed. She feels versatile, thoughtfully designed, and very in line with what the Barbie Basics line is trying to do—offer timeless, mix-and-match fashion with a more modern, poseable body. If you’re into styling, photographing, or just building a cohesive, neutral-toned collection, she’s definitely worth adding.

Barbie Basics Model 09

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My granddaughter was excited to play with the Barbie Basics Model 09 because she is so articulated in contrast with other fashion dolls that she plays with. She noted that outfit was easy to take off and put back on and the shoes were "so cool" (her words). The nice feature of this doll as that her head can be swapped with other dolls in this series. The head was not easy to remove for an 7 year old but eventually we figured it out. She said that she could swap heads with other Basics and have new characters or new dolls. One of her comments was that she wished the doll came with underwear under her dress but the best overall excitement was over the articulation. This doll's wrists, ankles, arms, elbows, legs, knees can all be moved so that the doll can be posed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A perfect Barbie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie is gorgeous. She came with a certificate of authenticity, so I think she might be collectible. My daughters couldn’t wait to get her out of her box to play with her. They love that all of her joints bend so she’s fully posable and she can have flat or “tippy toe” feet. Her dress, hair, and makeup are all beautiful. She also didn’t have any loose threads or hair shedding.

Barbie Basics 2026 model #9 doll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barbie Basics 2026 model #9, has a dark brown complexion. 11.5 inches tall. She has a pleasant face mold, eyes & lips are specific to the ethnicity of the doll. She has brown, mid back length, rooted hair that can be styled differently. She has mobility with a head that turns & nods, her biceps or upper arms turn, elbows bend, wrists bend & twist. Her legs also bend, as do her knees & ankles. Her waist does not twists but she is posable for display or playing. She’s a fuller figure doll. She wears a gold empire waist mini dress with shoulder straps, gold earrings & gold heels. She’s made pretty good though she has some dots on the back of her legs that aren’t attractive. Her right elbow doesn’t bend either. I’m not sure if that’s by design or defect. Overall she’s very beautiful doll & I will display her with the others in this collection.

Simple & Sweet, But Not a Standout

The design is minimal with no extra features, so it didn’t hold my daughter’s attention for long. That said, she still likes it and enjoys having it as part of her collection—it’s just not one she reaches for often.
