Family prefers over gas powered!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a gas powered mower all of my life. My husband purchased this mower several years ago after doing much research. I was skeptical about how affective it could be. I was encouraging my kids to still use my old mower and couldn’t understand why they would choose the battery powered every time. Then finally I tried it myself. It had been left out in the yard and I needed to do some very close cutting in a specific area and did not want to waste the time to get the old gas mower out. Let me just say I was shocked! It was so lightweight and easy to manage but it exceeded my expectations. It was a great cut and not a lot of passes to get tough little stragglers. It was so much more convenient when I had to stop to pick something up because it starts us so easily without the hassle of pulling a cord. The batteries seem to have a decent charge and last a long time if the grass has not gotten tall. We will never go back!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time user so i do not know how durable this mower will be but it is excellent so far. Says it can mow "up to 1/2 acre" and i believe it with an ideal situation. I got the push power without the propelled option and glad i did. Very light weight and hardly takes any effort to push it. I have the 5mAh battery and it went down only 1 bar out of 4 with the 20 mins of mowing I did. Probably ideal conditions as the weeds were dry and I use the side chute since it’s not a lawn and in the "back" area where it is more natural/formal. I mowed when the weeks were about 6 inches tall and was on level 4 height so cut about 3 inches off. Very clean and great side discharging and better than my old craftsman mower with a Honda engine ever was. If this mower lasts longer than 10 years, and the battery lasts 5 years, this is truly a very good system.

Great machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had the zero turn for almost 2 years now and it is one of the best purchases ive ever made. It has bought me so much time, I wish had done it years ago. Minimal maintenance, strong performance. I own everything greenworks and this has proved to be extremely durable as have the rest. Only one complaint and a couple of a fyi's. The cover to convert the side discharge to a mulcher isn't poor quality plastic but designed without thought to durability, the slot that catches the hook on the top broke almost immediately. As far as mowing on slopes, i have many well some beyond suggested limitations, as long as i am thoughtful when approaching and have an appropriate speed it's just fine. The other is a safety lock out. I use this in a literal forest so there are many leaves. The handles have to be in the locked/outermost position to start. After substantial use a fine powder of leaves can build up between the handle and the button it needs to depress which will leave it locked out and unable to start. It took a while to figure out.
I almost forgot to mention, between being almost silent and no combustion engine to fight with it is a dream come true.

Very happy we took the plunge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this for two seasons now. Previously, we had been paying a service to mow our approximately two acres of lawn. But once we put solar panels on the house, it just made sense to go electric. We had no experience with a ride on mower, and there was definitely a learning curve with the zero turn, but it didn't take long to learn to control the turns.
We love that it costs nothing to run, that there is no need to winterize a motor, and that there is no nasty exhaust or noise to deal with. It's simple to adjust the mowing height, the storage in the back has come in handy, and we really are very pleased with it overall.
We're sorry we waited as long as we did to buy this mower.
