Reliable with Great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 4th year and I'm still loving this mower. I am mowing nearly 1/2 acre and during the mowing season, mowing once every week or two. The gas mower always required filling the gas tank halfway through, but with the electric mower, I'm able to do the whole lawn with one charge. It's also nice to be able to turn the mower on its side sweep out underneath the base without worrying about spilling gas or oil. The mower also seems lighter than the gas mower making it easier to push on the hilly terrain.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Superior overall vs gas powered mowers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mower nearly a month ago. At first I was on the fence about it because going from a gas mower to electric has its learning curves but overall I think it’s a good purchase. It came equipped with two batteries and starts effortlessly without hesitation and is quiet compared to the gas mower. At this point I would recommend this greenworks lawnmower for purchase!

Great mower!

Self propelled, lighted cutting ahead area, quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this item because it does exactly what my gas mower does, plus it's lighter, and self propelled and has lights in front so I can cut grass in the dark and not wake up my neighbors. Comes with 2 batteries, a 80V 2.0 Amp hour, and a 80V 4.0Amp hour battery, with fast charger, rarely does it quit, my yard is approximately less than a 1/4 acre. On jackrabbit speed I get to hop to it, and turtle speed is s l o w.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

Solid mower, but best for smaller yards

This review is based off of a first time use on a quarter acre yard with medium length grass where I used the #4 height setting (out of 7). Mine came with a single 80v 8.0Ah battery.
Pros
- The product is easy to figure out and assemble.
- The battery charges in about an hour or so.
- Easy to change height settings and turn on (just make sure the red cap next to the battery is inserted or it will not start).
- Folds up for easy storage.
- Self propel works very well.
- Cuts the yard nicely.
- Not very loud

Cons:
- Battery life feels mediocre. I thought I would make it through my yard on one charge, but only got about 60% through. I used the self propel feature only when going up hills and the blade height was 4 (out of 7) so it was not that low.
- The mower didn't have enough power at times and turned off occasionally while I was cutting. This happened even when I wasn't using the self propel setting and had the "Turbo" feature enabled. I was able to continue after turning it back on, but it was definitely struggling with my yard/grass.
- If you don't use the self propel feature, the mower can be somewhat heavy to push depending on your yard, grass length and strength. I'm a larger guy and would be able to mow without it, but it's definitely a workout.

Conclusion:
Solid mower for smaller yards and moderate height grass. It WILL struggle on tall/dense grass. I wouldn't recommend for yards larger than about 0.15 acre unless you have a 2nd battery on hand or don't mind recharging and doing multiple sessions. We will see how it holds up long term.
