Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased back in May. Was worried if it would be able to handle my yard. This mower is surprising. Light weight, but manages to mow through tall and a bit wet lawn with ease. It is easy to adjust height of mower deck. If I use the propel feature to bare minimum I can actually get more use time out of the 4.0/2.0 Amh batteries then projected. It is saving money and I love using this mower.

The two batteries are great. Variable speed and safety features are appreciated. Our granddaughter mows our lawn and she is thrilled with the new mower.

Only gets about 60% of advertised area per charge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have mowed twice now with this mower and it does a really nice job. My reason for only three stars is it gets no where near the advertised 5.1 acres per charge. I have just under 3.8 acres to mow and I can get about 60% of that on a single charge assuming I use the lowest power level on both the blades and the drive. I do however have a rolling yard with a lot of up and down grade driving so I'm assuming that's part of the reason for less area per charge. I also have several bushes and trees and various obstacles to mow around which probably also lowers the acreage per charge. I would suspect if you have a flat 5 acres that only required back and forth mowing you would get closer to advertised mowing area.
Otherwise, I'm satisfied with the mower so far. The batteries charge to full charge in 2.5-3 hrs and the lights work great for after dark mowing to escape the summer heat. The only other thing you might offer would be tractor tires as an option rather than turf tires. On rolling ground, the mower does a lot of tire spinning and sliding.

Slopes and obstacles require more power, and users can expect running time to be less, if this is the case. Runtime measurements are also related to the condition of the grass and if it is well-maintained. Tall, thick grass requires more power, and you must mow it slower, consuming added runtime. Ensure you charge the battery fully before each use, maintain the battery properly by cleaning terminals, avoid extreme temperatures during storage, consider buying a second battery for larger lawns, mow in a straight line, and choose a mower with a powerful battery suitable for your lawn size. If the grass has been left to exceed 4 inches, we advise that you raise the cutting height and cut no more than one-third of the length of grass at a time, wait a couple of days and do another one-third, cut when grass is dry and walk at steady pace to allow the blade to work more efficiently. Just know outside of the warranty period if it breaks they are not fixing it and they are not offering parts. It is junk, and they use internal plastic drive parts so these tools break under normal use...

A weak, poorly designed mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned this mower for 4 years and I live in NC. This is not a mower designed for workhorse lawn cutting. It is able to cut dry grass well. It is not able to cut thick summer grass well, and it certainly can’t cut anything that’s wet. I don’t bag my grass because it’s too much work but this limits me to mulching because there is no side discharge. The mower becomes clogged very often. When grass is thick here in NC in the summer months I inevitably have to flip the mower over and scrape out the grass clippings a dozen or so times in one hour of work. There, you have been warned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
