Have only used this three times but it exceeded my expectations. I love the 'transmission' kicking into a higher rpm when needed. My only complaint is the bag, which is very easy to dump with its wide mouth, should be green instead of white. Battery charges quickly. Very easy to maneuver mower.

I recently purchased the 80v self-propelled mower. Overall, I appreciate many qualities including quick battery charge time, quiet motor, ease of storage, and cutting ability. My only complaint is that the wheel disasters are small enough to get caught in even the smallest crevices of uneven ground and the self-propelled mechanism is very weak on slight grades. To make it more frustrating, it seems like the rear wheels completely lock up sometimes when self-propelled mode is on. If not for that weakness, If have rated this machine with five stars.

Perfect for my cutting needs

I have a small unusual front yard. with lots of trees and other obstacles, not to mention the irregular shape. And since I live on a hill it makes it even harder to cut. This mower was perfect for what I needed. The features really matched my needs, the light wait, the easy of using batteries instead of gas or an electric cord. I love when the mower cuts a heavy patch of grass that it increases the power to make it easier to cut. The bagger works well, starting it is easy....and I'm amazed at how fast the batteries recharge.

I couldn't believe how quite this mower is. I could actually talk on the phone while mowing my lawn! Having 2 batteries is great- I can charge one while using the other. It is less hassle than a gas mower, for sure!

Powerful, quiet workhorse

I purchased this machine in summer of 2015. I visited this website to get the phone# in order to find out if I need replacement blade or does the company recommends sharpening.
I was surprised to see that there was only one review for this 80v lawnmower.
This is my third summer using this lawnmower (about 7000 square feet of lawn on a single charge). It is just as powerful as a gas mower but light and whisper quiet. I have cut my my lawn at night and my nosey neighbors who like to complaint about every noise like kids playing, dog barking etc. has never complained about the lawnmower noise.
It is not self propelled, but so easy to move around with very little effort.
I have even mowed wet and over 8 inch tall lawn without any problem.
Best of all, no maintaining so far and it starts every spring after winter storage.
I know the price tag is a bit high when compared to other cordless lawnmowers, which are not as powerful. It is my opinion that this should be truely be compared to gas mowers, in which c are the price is comparableble for power, gas savings & maintainence.

Just received as a gift from my wife and mowed my lawn. It worked as good or better than I expected. Easy to operate and powerful. Nice even cut and stayed at near full charge after around 20 min. to mow my yard. So far very happy with it. I rated durability as good because I only used once so far and seems well made.

3 Great Benefits For My Neighbors and 3 for me

There are 6 great benefits:
1) With 2 batteries, you never run out of charge.
2) Only 60 pounds with 10 inch rear wheels. Easy to push and maneuver. Can store it on the wall.
3) Elimination of pollution from small gas engines that is about 50 times (50 times !) worse than gas cars.
4) In terms of energy (oil well/coal mine to mower blade), it is about 10 times more efficient.
5) In terms of CO2 (oil well/coal mine to mower blade), the electric mower is about 14 times better.
6) I have eliminated another carburetor from my shop. No filter maintenance. No oil changes. No checking of the oil level.
ONE: It comes with two 2 amp-hour batteries. Each lasts about 30 minutes. Since the battery recharge time is also 30 minutes, this means the first battery is ready to go when the second battery is depleted. I need about 70 minutes of battery to mow the lawn. When the 2nd battery was empty, the 1st battery was already recharged and ready to go. How long does the battery last? It’s an irrelevant question.
TWO: Weighing only 60 pounds including the battery and with 10 inch rear wheels. It is easy to push and maneuver. So I don’t miss the self-propelled feature of my previous gas mower. The lawn mower has two speeds for the blade. When the lawn is light it operates at the lower motor speed. When the grass gets heavier and the mower senses the motor speed has dropped below a certain threshold, it kicks into the higher speed. It has one lever to change the height of the mower deck. It is very easy to adjust. The handle adjustments work well for my height of 6’-3”.
THREE: One hour of gas-powered lawn mowing produces as much pollution as four hours of driving a car. The average car burns about 12 gallons in 4 hours. So a gas mower is about 50 times worse than a car on a per-gallon basis. I mow my yard about 20 times a year. So I have just eliminated the pollution equivalent of 240 gallons of gasoline per year!
FOUR: I needed about 0.4 kWh (400 watt-hours) to mow the yard, instead of a quart of gasoline. In terms of energy, I used 1,350 Btuh instead of 28,500 Btuh. That’s right. The electric lawn mower engine is 20 times more efficient than the gas engine. Since power companies are around 35% efficient and since refineries (including the extraction process) are only 75% efficient, it’s more correct to say I used 4000 Btuh instead of 38000 Btuh. Still around a factor of 10.
FIVE: I am on XCel Energy’s Windsource program. Thus I am using a zero-carbon lawnmower and have eliminated 7 pounds of CO2 every time I mow the yard . Even using Xcel’s standard energy mix, the lawn mower only generates about one-half pound of CO2. So it is 14x better.
SIX) No maintenance of a small engine. Yahoo!!
My only wish list item would be fora left-side discharge chute that can be attached to the rear bagger outlet. I hope GreenWorks has a 2-stage snowblower in the near future.

Not as good as expected.

Mower is not as powerful as expected. Bogs down even when grass is not tall and kills the battery FAST! Definitely not made for Bermuda grass. Blades dull down very fast. Biggest issue is that some materials are cheap and starting to disintegrate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
