The package arrived with the staples on one end ripped open and the package empty. I have not heard back from Greenworks since I reported this. Very disappointed.

I purchased this mower to replace my broken gas mower. I have St. Augustine grass, which is very spongy. I cut my lawn on the highest setting. When I cut the grass, the self-propelled function keeps stopping and the mower beeps. I have to remove the battery and plug it back in to get it working. The mower cuts the St. Augustine grass very nice, but the self-propelled system must give a bad signal and shuts it off. Very annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Otown,
Sorry to hear of the challenge you are experiencing. Normally a battery would beep to indicate that the battery needs to be charged or that there is an internal issue with the unit. If after verifying the charge of the battery you are still experiencing issues, we urge you to contact our customer care using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS), and we will be happy to assist with the warranty claims process. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and look forward to making it right!
I am a single mom and a small business owner, mowing the grass is something I don't have time for. I hope my perspective can help potential buyers like me who don't love mowing. I was thrilled to find an electric mower with longer battery life for a large yard. The batteries charge quickly and swap out as many times as needed to get the whole yard done. Since I hate mowing I started on the lowest blade setting to cut the grass short, it left sorched earth. So start at a high setting and go down, it is simple to adjust. The mower is extremely light weight and quiet. I fell like I'm pushing a toy mower, yet it mows great. The bag picks up grass very well unless the bag gets too full or if the blade setting is low (probably too low). I love not inhaling the exhaust and be deafened by the motor of my old gas mower. This mower performs well, is environmentally friendly and so easy to operate, I will never go back to a gas mower!
Stronger than Ryobi 48v by far. Able to go thru thick grass, even in self-propel mode that would cause Ryobi to stall even tho it is not self-propelled. Excellent battery duration, even when using self-propel. Charges amazingly fast, 1 hr for 4-amp batt. Seems well designed & made. Nice soft-start and soft-self-propel features, no sudden dangerous motions. Durability unknown, have had only 1 month. Able to get spare blade promptly. Very pleased with purchase.
