I love my Meta Quest 3

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disclaimer about my setup problems, I already have a Meta Quest 2, and I'm not sure if my setup was more difficult because of it. However, it took me almost 3 hours and factory resetting my Meta Quest 3 a couple times, which I had to look up on Google how to do before it finally worked. Basically, the communication between the app and the Meta Quest 3 is borked, at least it was for me, and from what I saw from others, its a pretty common issue. Basically, the Quest and the app weren't syncing and would freeze when trying to get the code. First, the app itself is seriously non-intuitive about this. I had to actually look up how to even find the settings menu. Secondly, the app itself didn't have the menu option that the instructions should say it does, I'm guessing the QA folks wrote this for Apple and that's it.
Its much more comfortable than the Quest 2 was, at least for face fitment, and the default head band is far easier and quick to adjust for the many faces that stick themselves to the device. I have 8 kids in the house (not all mine biologically, but I claim them anyway) and that's a lot of time between adjusting. Straps are much better, but by far, the single best and biggest difference is the lens. Focus, Focus, Focus! Its easier to get, maintain, and adjust for the focus, including for a bunch of kids of various ages and sizes.
I'd like to see room for a pair of glasses without having to purchase anything extra, but it works for the ones that have them anyway, but less comfortably. Sound is maybe the same, but I personally feel its better and more immersive as well.
The controllers are basically he same, minus the weird ring on the old ones. Maybe fractionally smaller, but I'm not going to measure it to check. Comfortable though.
Passthrough is so, so much better, can actually check the app on the phone with the headset on, its in color, and I don't feel the spatial disparity between my eyes and my feet like in the Quest 2.
I think they got a lot right in most of the places, but I have to wonder, how many people will box it back up and ship it back when they suffer the setup issues. Get this fixed, and I think its pretty fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to get my kids the meta quest 3 and it such a wonderful and immersive experience to enjoy with the whole family. I love the fact that we can all partake in the experience through the use of the casting function which projects the image in the headset onto the tv for everyone to see. The games catalogue is enormous with plenty for all ages. I’m thinking of purchasing another one because it’s become one of our most used devices which you can practically take anywhere. Our whole family loves the experience and can’t get enough!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We upgraded and purchased the Meta 3 from the 2 and are very pleased with the new features like hand tracking and the ability it has to create perimeters. The graphics are also better and there’s many more game choices to choose. We have a blast as a family playing on this VR headset and couldn’t recommend it enough!
