[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been way more fun than I have been expecting and perfect timing for steam link wireless as well. It works a lot better than the oculus link which is very much full of latency issues as far as playing games. I am able to run 4k settings on wireless and can't even manage 72 hz at native on oculus link. That being said i have reached out to the cable company because the quest usb test says it is only getting 2.5 gb on a 10gb cable.
The biggest rave leading up to launch was the passthrough cameras. Which I have to say a bit lackluster. I was not expecting 1990s quality where the view is very fuzzy and little off tone. That being said the screen that it actually produces to view is sharp and crispy very pleasant. I love pulling up youtube or something and just pulling it around the house with me without having to use the controller to do so.
Most of my time has been spent playing F1 22 and 23 with it which is just unreal now that I upped the resolution and hz rate. Average battery life will depend on what you are playing but expect 1-2 hours which is good because you need to take a break but you won't want to because you are having fun. The sound quality of the speakers are also really good. They project well into your ear so much so that people around you can only hear if it is on max really.
The headband strap and glasses capability is where my only real gripe is. It has fallen off my head one time so far onto my cats head on my lap :( As i had loosened the strap to try and make it sit further down the back of my head. This gave it enough give for the weight of it to fall forward. The strap for me and my set up is basically sitting above the bump on the back of your head like a sweat band. Also the viewing angle.. again i don't know how much of this is because of the glasses but I have to bascially look through from the bottom of the lense of the vr set to get a clear picture so I can also basically see under the nose grove in order for the picture to be clear. Yes, you can get prescription lenses from a 3rd party however as your prescription changes... need new lenses for your glasses and vr .
Overall I am very pleased with the product. The controllers take AA batteries so maybe invest in some enerlopes. I have yet to see real battery drain on them since Christmas yet and i use it every weekend.

Good upgrade from quest 2

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Specs are a lot better than the quest 2. Biggest qualm is the facial interface feels cheap. The eye adjuster for glasses fell apart when trying to adjust the depth and almost feels like you're going to break ot when attempting to take it off. However, support has been great and offered to replace my facial interface if I send it in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such advancement to the Quest 2 which was already pretty good. The resolution, see through capability and boundary detection using lidar is really good.

Husband LOVES it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband is an avid VR gamer and bought the HTC Vive when it first came out. He was absolutely THRILLED when he got the Meta Quest 3 for Christmas and plays it everyday. He also still kindly thanks me everyday too :) He does everything from playing games, watching movies, listening to dreams, etc. I love the dream app and learning about constellations - it's so fun! Typically, a wife would be annoyed of how much their husband plays video games, but I love how much he loves it! And I love it too!

Meta quest 3 review
on March 11, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hey there, fellow VR enthusiasts! Today, I want to share my thoughts on the Meta Quest 3, the latest addition to the world of virtual reality gaming. Strap in, because this review is going to be a wild ride!
Let's kick things off with what I love about the Meta Quest 3. First and foremost, the freedom it gives you is incredible. No more tangled wires or restrictive setups – just strap on the headset and dive into a whole new world. The graphics are top-notch, and the updated controllers feel like a natural extension of your hands, making gameplay super immersive.
And don't even get me started on the games. The Meta Quest 3 has an ever-expanding library that caters to all tastes. Whether you're into heart-pounding action or peaceful exploration, there's something here for everyone. Plus, the interface is super user-friendly, so even if you're new to VR, you'll feel right at home.
But it's not all sunshine and rainbows with the Meta Quest 3. Here's where things get a little rocky – connecting it to your PC can be a real pain sometimes. I've had my fair share of struggles with connectivity issues and software glitches, and let me tell you, it's not fun. Even when you do manage to get it connected, keeping that connection stable can feel like playing a game of whack-a-mole.
Overall, the Meta Quest 3 is a solid choice if you're looking for a standalone VR experience. It's got all the bells and whistles you could ask for, and the game library is top-notch. But if you're thinking of connecting it to your PC, just be prepared for a bit of a bumpy ride.
So there you have it, folks – my honest take on the Meta Quest 3. It's not perfect, but it's still a whole lot of fun. Just be ready to roll with the punches when it comes to PC connectivity. Happy gaming!

Best Budget AR/VR Headset

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quest 3 is the best in class VR/AR Headset, competing against headsets priced at least double of its price. It has almost all features and a enormous library of games avaliable.
