Still lacking

Very little Vr screen upgrade. Yes lens are much better and controllers are great but the rest is the same. I wish they would have put more into the mixed reality room size bigger. I want to set up my whole house floor as a playground. Also casting when having family over must be a priority. It is a pain to cast at a friend's house. Should have duel cpu's .... 1 for the UI. 1 for the games. If you got the money get it. I use everyday at lease for 1 hour and have lost 10 pounds in 2 months

I've been using VR headsets since the days of the Oculus Rift and can safely say that Meta has outdone themselves with the Quest 3. Wonderful out of the box experience, crisp resolution and snappy performance. The passthrough is just about the best I've seen yet and I can't wait to dive deeper into a plethora of apps, games, and experiences as well as come back to old favorites that have been polished. Highly recommend.

Resolution is fine, feels good to wear and is generally comfortable, setup was easy to understand. Battery however sucks and is generally weak. I like the controllers, they fit nicely in my hands and the hardware feels very durable. Generally okay, just wish it held up games better and the battery wouldn't die as fast.

Better than the 2

We've had the Oculus 2 for several years and decided to buy the the 3 for the kids for the holidays. The device itself is an improvement. The remotes are more comfortable and the headset is for the most part pretty comfortable. I'm impartial to the material used for the padding but it's not a deal breaker. I like that there is a hand sensor without the remote. Its not perfect but it can be useful. The display is much better than the last. Now if there is any assistance needed on device, account, or app you're pretty much screwed.

I've always been a fan of VR, and the concept of a standalone headset is REALLY appealing. But I waited until the Quest 3 to pull the trigger. Long story short, it's awesome.
It's easy to use, the games are fun, no cords in the way, and the battery lasts long enough to get a decent gaming session in. The only real issue I have is the pass-through tech is great, but the cameras aren't the best quality. It's like looking into real life with a slightly fuzzy pair of glasses. But you know what? The tech itself is super cool. Being able to walk confidently around my living room without taking off the headset is fun, and the productivity you can get by running apps in pass-through is great.
So if you've got the money, it's a good headset. It's got exclusive games you can't get anywhere else, it hooks into your gaming PC if you'd rather do that, and it's simple to use if you're not super techy. I love mine, and I'm sure I'll get a ton of use out of it in the months and years to come.
