Snappy and easy to jump into

The new Quest 3 is easier than ever to jump right into experiencing XR (AR, MR, and VR) for the first time while giving a taste of what the latest world of XR can do. No more need to dangle cables from your head, setup a dedicated play environment, or for needlessly dumping a ton of money into a gaming rig (companion computer setup). Except for internet and Wi-Fi service, this one device is all-in for getting started. It gently guides the newest newbie through setup and operation. Even the setup process is fun and mesmerizing, watching mixed-reality feel-out your environment, so, for example, fluffy space creatures get a chance to hide behind your bed or couch while you capture them with a zap. Oh, and don't worry about what appears to be the destruction of your home, as holes get punched in the walls or sheet rock from the ceiling begins to fall and scatter all over the floor. It will all be repaired and cleaned-up as quickly as you can take off the headset. I promise.

Great Upgrade

Upgrade from my Quest 2, jumped into it since e my Quest 2 broke and I am very happy with the upgrade. The color pass through is a huge improvement from the quest 2 and as a person with glasses I find this one much easier to accomadete with the new insert.

Overall Good, Tracking a little worse

Overall, I liked this over the Quest 2. The head strap definitely needs a third-party accessory, preferably one with extra battery life. The controllers also need an accessory. The AR was pretty cool with testing it out in some apps, but nothing spectacular yet. The Hand tracking was the biggest disappointment. I noticed when climbing in a game, the tracking is not as good as the Quest 2. I think it's because no cameras are on the top, like on Quest 2. It requires me to raise my head and have my hands more outward. I primarily use that for Population One gaming, so I'm still trying to work out how to adapt after a month.

Outmoded Looking Mobile Game Device

Haven't got a compatible PC, so I'm limited to stand-alone games. These look like they're from 20 years ago in terms of both graphics and usually, gameplay. Very little survival/crafting, RPG unless it's really an action Roguelike, or strategy. Tried "Ad Aspera" and it had such bad draw distance it probably plays better on PC. Tried "Gunblazers" and it's like "Fortnite" but uglier and simpler. And so on. For me there's little reason to keep this unless I get a high-powered PC to go with it.

Great device, but not for exercise games

I'm coming from having a PSVR1 and Index, two VR sets that utilize off-headset cameras. The quest 2 and 3 do not utilize off headset tracking.
I use my VR stuff to trick myself into having fun while exercising. Bear Saber, Pistol Whip, and others are amazing on what I'm used to. I switched to the Quest 3 after hearing my friends rave about the Quest 2 for years.
The quest 3 loses tracking too easily during exercise. If I swing slightly put of my field of view, the tracking swings wildly all over until my headset regains composure. This has rendered my Q3 some what of a paperweight until this is fixed. From reading online, a lot of people are having this issue in beat saved and people are blaming the new type of tracking.

BEST VR HEADSET

My meta quest 2 was good, but the meta quest 3 with this new lens is just perfect, and the sound is incredible, i use it to watch movies, youtube...
But there is a problem with screenshot application, for exemple in Whatsapp i cant screenshot the conversation, the application in the screenshot is empty or transparent without any words or pictures (software problem ^^ )
But the quest 3 is just amazin 10/10+
