The fact that you can go fully wireless and still have great graphics makes this a great headset. But the initial headband that you get is not that comfortable and the tracking for the controllers is only ok. The hand tracking is also not very reliable.

The Quest 3 is an incredible piece of technology delivered at a price that, while higher than the Quest 2, delivers incredible value. In addition to the mixed reality pass-through that will continue to improve, the real steal is the xr2gen2 chip's capabilities in rendering dynamic lighting, better textures, and resolution. There is also a bevy of titles arriving that offer more narrative-driven engagement, open-endedness, and longer play that set this apart from its predecessor. As the continually improved the experience of the Quest 2 for users, I can only imagine the trajectory of this headset as the updates roll out.

The quest three is great but the passthrough is extremely grainy. Idk if it's normal but the video I've seen some people post online looks way better than what mine gets

Nice Upgrade

It was a nice upgrade from my Quest 2 but not as much as I expected. The head strap and facial interface were very uncomfortable and the first to go. I replaced them both with 3rd party offerings. The controllers are awesome and I think they track better than my pro controllers. They also seem to fit my hands better and feel lighter. Resolution appears to be somewhat better but not as much as I expected. I purchased the optional Rx lenses and that made a HUGH difference for my eyes. I did not have Rx lenses in my Quest 2 so hard to compare them in terms of clarity. I knew the Quest 3 was going to have WIFI 6e so I upgraded my router in anticipation. It turns out the 6e has a very limited signal distance and drops out when you are only about 15-20 feet (line of site) from the router and makes game play almost impossible. No fault of the Quest 3 of course. I went back to WIFI 5 and is much better. I did play with mixed reality a bit and it was a blast. The native "First Encounters" game was a big hit with the kids and I enjoyed it also. My primary game play is Beat Saber and I think the Quest 3 is an excellent platform for fast rhythm games. Overall, I'm very happy with the Quest 3 and feel it was a worthwhile upgrade for me. Others will have to try it out and decide for themselves.

This headset is the best that I own. That's probably because I went from quest 1 to quest 3, but that's not the point. Overall, it is a great headset and I haven't found anything to complain about it, aside from the stock head strap being uncomfortable for long play sessions. Battery life is also ok but it will sometimes die when plugged in while playing standalone and pcvr.
