The quest 3 is the best stand alone headset on the market as of right now, the pass through and mixed reality features propels this device into the top spot for me as it changes the way games can be played. It’s very impressive seeing the mixed reality for yourself. Of course the pass through isn’t perfect, it’s still grainy and has some distortion when you move around fast but it’s still very good. I’m looking forward to future headsets having better pass through cameras but for now this works perfect, you can check your phone or use your computer while scrolling instagram on a virtual screen. Remarkable technology in my opinion. The part where this headset lacks is battery life and head strap comfort. The battery will almost always make it to 2 hours but this time can very based on what you are doing. For example high preforming games like red matter two will probably result in an hour and thirty minutes play time depending on your settings. The head strap fits good around my head and is easily adjustable but the face covering can start to soak up your sweat and get hot fast if you’re playing games like beat saber or creed rise to glory. But this can be avoided by just taking frequent breaks while playing more physically demanding games. The back of the head strap is where you have two sliders to adjust the tightness of the headset to your face. I find that these work great but for my first few times playing it was really a problem where I would get a headache from moving my head around and always feeling the pressure in the back of my head. Recently this hasn’t been an issue for me though so this might just depend on the person or how you have the strap positioned. Either way this headset is a must buy and a definite improvement from the quest 2 and quest pro.

Quest 3 experience

The quest 3 has been a great device but has a major issue with battery life on the device and aswell as your elite strap battery not charging the headset properly. The strap that the quest 3 comes with is more comfortable than the quest 1 and 2 straps but still lacks something to make it a bit more comfortable.

It's an OK device

I'm moving from a Quest 1 to a Quest 3
The LCD instead of an OLED makes watching movies less nicer. The screendoor effect is gone but at a cost.
The device is thinner and is a little more comfortable to wear, but it's still very heavy and painful to have on for longer periods of time, both on my face and neck. This is the main reason I end up preferring regular screens and why this device often ends up sitting in the corner.
The controllers haven't been working great particularly in beat saber. It often loses tracking if the circular part of the controller isn't directly facing the Quest 3's cameras. I was hoping to use my old controllers with the Quest 3 but it doesn't look like It's compatible.
The passthrough cameras are nice but are not really high quality so I end up turning it off.
Hand tracking has improved which makes getting around the menu without controls much easier and intuitive.
My favorite part of the device are the lenses, the sweet spot is a lot larger. Also, if you don't wear glasses you can get really close to lense and have the field of view be much larger.

higher pixel density
higher clarity
everything is great except the strap. You need to order a replacement immediately.

It’s my first VR headset so I don’t really have anything to compare against, but I have to say it way better than what I expected! I just wish my pc video card had more memory so I could play my favorite pc hands in vr.

A Step Up

I went from Quest 1 to Meta Quest 3 so it was quite the jump forward for me. The only real complaint I have is the head strap wasn’t much of an upgrade so I bought the new BoBoVR M3 Pro and I absolutely love it, other than that I am very satisfied with the Quest 3.

Not bad, not impressed

UI is quite easy to use and it feels faster. Increased in resolution but can't tell the difference. Still doesn't let me remove apps from library and many synced files. Accounts settings seems difficult with Facebook and oculus put together
