Large step forward. Functional mixed reality

More comfortable and better vision than the quest 2. Works for a pid of 55 thanks to wide visual sweet spot. Pixels barely visible in vr. Passthrough can very good but should have equivalent resolution to vr display for true immersion. Experiences in MR like learning piano and playing tabletop games is a step forward. The quality of visuals is great. The better processor leads to much better WiFi 6 streaming without glitching. Very happy with my purchase. Great value. Hands down the best headset overall. Please keep the PC Vr steam Vr compatibility.

A more comfortable VR experience

To preface this I had a quest 2 for around a year and a half. It was never super comfortable even with aftermarket headbands. The ipd setting were terrible. With the quest 3 every issue I had is gone and the pancake lenses with glasses inserts are such a relief. I bought the elite strap with battery pack and although some folks are having issues with it I have not. It's worth getting just for the comfort as the included headstrap is serviceable but it does put all the pressure directly on your cheeks. I would easily purchase this again for PC VR or standalone.

Best headset out easily

I took my time before dropping this review because I wanted to thoroughly experience everything the Quest 3 offers. And let me tell you, it's beyond impressive. The new pancake lenses set a new standard for VR, with graphics that make the Quest 2 seem almost quaint in comparison. Initially, the comfort might need a bit of personalization with an upgraded head strap and facial interface, but once dialed in, it's perfect. The new controllers are a game-changer, making every move feel more natural. And the lightness of the headset makes it alot easier to wear for hours of immersive gameplay or training without any discomfort. The Quest 3 is truly a monumental leap forward. Looking forward to the future updates. Definitely worth the wait!

Love Quest 3 - Is it worth it if you already own?

The Quest 3 is the "brand new Sportscar feel" to the aging "Quest2's old sedan feel". Smaller, sleeker, and amazing passthru capabilies! I have my Q2 at home and Q3 at work and so don't have to haul from one to the other. So for me buying another Quest works. If you are on a limited budget and don't have another location... don't buy. If that's not a concern, it's worth the upgrade. Q3 Resolution increase is marginal, but size and sleekness and especially color passthru are worth the price.

Excellent first VR experience

The Quest 3 is my first VR headset and I must say it blew me away. The Mixed Reality and passthrough is so much fun. The games are pretty fun as well though I don't have many yet.
The stock headset is okay for comfort but an aftermarket strap and likely a face plate will be needed. Especially for playing fitness games i find the foam for the face plate gets...moist.

Nothing works

I bought this for my son and it will not download no matter what you do. The extra battery pack we bought will not charge the vr. There is no phone number to call to get help or get replaced. Help !!!!!
