Great standalone VR headset but still a way to improve to use as a PCVR headset.
Amazing optics, best I ever seen. Excellent Sweet spot, ok resolution.
Confort with the default set up is terrible, luckily there a lot of accessories to fix this issue.

Wish Meta can work for the upcoming quest Pro headsets. Better cameras for Mixed reality, and way more resolution with eye-tracking.

It's amazing but not comfortable!

I have all 3 versions of Quest. I love the comfort of Pro, and quality of Quest 3. I would have given 5 all the way if Quest 3 was comfortable to wear. It feels cheap and wearing it does not make you feel good. If you can get over that initial experience it works and there are some really great titles and some of the workout apps like LesMills have help me loose 5 inches in waist size. So it s al;l good after that.

I think it’s amazing! I bought it for my boyfriend but ended up using it way more than he has lol. The only downfall is how heavy it is, I’m excited to see as technology evolves and it become more compact. Other than that it’s so much fun!

1. During setup, sometimes there can be a problem with connecting to the phone before it updates or smth, not sure. Just remember that I encountered it and found somebody on reddit encountering it as well.
2. Great device for games, productivity and movies would benefit from OLED and at least 2.5k
3. Software-wise, I would love to see
- native support for slime VR full body tracking
- API to capture and store spatial data for conversion into virtual environments and 3d objects. I really want for the depth sensor to be useful in creative workflows, probably run some custom NNs with depth and stereo image input in real-time.
- Discord on quest with streaming, if they ever release it.

4. I like that you can add furniture mapping of your room. Loved the passthrough, just good enough to avoid obstacles and perform simple tasks. Games in AR are impressive, but until they require player to interact with furniture, they might not be too interesting. Also liked the stability of it. Native hand and controller tracking is on point. Software is stable.
6. Exclusivity:
- since many of the games are now multiplayer, I think such games would benefit from being also released on Steam, even if owned by Meta (maybe for a higher price), so that people with different VR headsets can cross-play.
- I found no messaging apps except meta-owned facebook messenger. I do understand it is your decision, but it would be cool if there was an easy way to install telegram, for example.

Question: can I make focus distance like 20m or smth, for eyes to relax after looking at computer screen all day?
Also, it is quite comfortable, but I hope you can increase max IPD on your next headset by 1-2 points at least.

Overall, I haven't encountered any serious problems as of now, the headset is great. Comfort 4 since you can upgrade head strap to make it 5.

I was very surprised with the performance of the new headset. My son plays on it daily and is thrilled and said it is much better than the quest 2 and that the controllers are more comfortable. He has no complaints. The battery life is very good for the games that he plays.
