I tried my friends quest 2 and I was instantly on board for the quest 3. Very easy setup and intuitive especially for those new to vr. The only major issues I had with the headset is comfort and battery life. I expected a little better battery life especially when compared to the quest 2. The headstrap that comes with the headset also gets a little fatiguing after a while as well. The good thing is, the headstrap can be upgraded (for an extra charge of course). My gripes witht the headset were mostly because I considered the $200 price jump from the quest 2 with no improvements to those categories. However, it is still a really great value when compared to other mainstream headsets in the market! Overall, a 4/5, would definitely recommend!

I have tried Quest 2 and 3 for a week when they came up. I enjoyed using them both. Quest 3 us upgraded you can feel it ui menu and displays are more responsive and sharp. There is now more context to consume in VR world also.
Meta did a really good job shipping and return process.
What I could not overcome with both was my headache. After 10 minutes of use, my head would spin and need to rest more than an hour to get to my normal. Maybe it was just me, some people like me having sensitive eye sights or sensitive to lights or to the artifical perception alignments.
Looking forward to see where this tech goes.
Do I recommend? Yes definetely.

I followed the Oculus company for a long time before the launch of the original Quest, had the chance to test some early devices as the DK1 and even own a second hand DK2. It just blew my mind, and I knew if I had the change, I would focus on VR for my gaming experience. I pre-ordered the Quest2 and enjoyed every minute with it, it opened an amazing new door for me as an old PC Gamer who have tested and owned a fair bit of the PC gaming industry products such as different simracing wheels and pedals, dozens of 3D cards since the original 3Dfx Vodoo, and many other components. VR was just different and it hit me hard. As good as the Quest2 is, and as groundbreaking when it launched, it had several drawbacks which I would have loved to see, and they are all present in the Quest 3!. The mixed reality is mesmerizing, although some games that support it still show some issues, I know that will improve. The pancake style lenses are really a great improvement over the Quest2 Fresnel style and it is really noticeable with bright things and dark backgrounds. Image quality is greatly improved and it has helped me see more details in games, and very helpful in simracing to cleary see the gauges. The only drawback I have experienced is that I've been getting a burning sensation on the side of my face next to my eyes, not sure yet if it's a reaction to the foam, or something more related to the view itself, as I have a quite wide IPD, close to 71mm, which I can set up closer now with the Quest3 but was maxed to 68mm with the Quest2. I can't comment much on hand tracking as I tried it for a couple minutes and disabled it.
Anyways I absolutely LOVE the Quest 3, just hope there is more mixed reality development in the future and some new style of games are developed as there are many similar games in the market.

The Quest 3 is proving to be very functional with no issues so far, after a month of owning it. The graphics have increased in quality as they promised. It does seem to be a little faster than the Quest 2. I'm impressed with the immersive reality with the included game and I look forward to the new ones, sure to come. I recommend the battery pack for extended battery life and a balanced feeling while wearing it

Excellent upgrade in nearly every way

This is my 4th headset. Having come from the CV1, Quest, and Quest 2. The Quest 3 is an excellent upgrade and I am very happy overall. I do wish there was a better system for selling older headsets. I wish the battery life was better (I use the Elite strap with batter (y AND a VR Power battery that plugs into the back of the Elite strap in order to have sufficiently long play sessions without worrying about the battery). Coming from the 64GB Quest 2 I know I don't need the over 500GB model and if Meta discontinues the 128GB that many of us bought, I do hope they will give us some credit towards games or future headsets if a new ca 200GB version is sold at the same price. As someone who sold a good friend my Quest 2 with a LOT of accessories (it was a Frankenquest with a modified OG VR Power battery pack attached to the back) so we could play together, I am personally grateful that all Quest 2 compatible games can be played on the Quest 3 and hope that the Quest 2 continues to be supported for a long time. However, it would be nice for developers to be able to start working on Quest 3 exclusives given what the unit is capable of, although if these games start requiring significantly more space, there should be a way of expanding the storage space of existing headsets or an exchange program allowing customers with lower storage units to turn in top condition units for higher storage units at a later date, paying the difference. Finally, as an early VR adopter who has stayed loyal to the Oculus, now Meta line, it was extremely disheartening to lose Echo VR, many of our favorite game of all time, and without notice to lose our Oculus homes, which many of us spent MANY many many many hours perfecting and enjoying. If there is any chance of resurrecting these home spaces, please consider doing so. I don't know if Meta understands how important these homes were for some. But back to the Q3 itself. The hardware is amazing. The pancake lenses are fantastic once those of us coming from earlier headsets gets used to seeing a bit of where the two lenses overlap in their FOV. The Zenni lens adapters worked well for me once they came (originally lost in the mail) and although the soft stock strap is 1000x better than its Quest 2 predecessor, an extra battery (or two!) is needed, so I did end up going with the Elite Strap with battery - way too expensive given several really good third party options (also for same price the Quest 2 Elite Strap with battery came with a carrying case), but I personally do like the way it fits on my head...more or less. Still, overall I am very happy. I am giving the headset 4 stars but would easily give it 5 if: 1) Meta brings back Oculus homes or an equivalent that allows the transfer of everything we built from the old homes and 2) Meta supports a really good predecessor to Echo VR. After all, great hardware is only as good as the great software it supports. I do appreciate that Meta stopped forcing users to link a Facebook account to the headset.

Easily way better than the quest 2 in almost every category from the comfort to the use. The only downfall for me is that the padding for your face could use with being more comfortable. Especially for how expensive the quest 3 is.
