Only 15% Better IMO

I think compared to the quest 2 the quest 3 is only about 15% better. Which isn’t significant enough to purchase if you have the 2. I was expecting more of an improvement in graphics and overall product but it’s just okay.

Great upgrade, feels not as advertised

I upgraded to the quest 3 from an Oculus Rift S and it was a major leap in quality and resolution. Though I still feel there is more room for improvement. These changes should come in future updates but right now it feels as if the passthrough isn't as clear as the on headset camera's photos show they could be. With the hand tracking I'd like to see any finger interact with the menus and keyboard not just pointer finger. Link cable works great from my experiences even if I need a USB 2.0 for a short time.

good headset, for the price

I had the Quest 2 and see the improvements that have been made overall are good, love the IPD dial, the pancake lenses are great.
The system runs fine, the games run well on it. I love not having the rings on the controller.
My only complaint is the headstrap is just not good. Ill need to buy a new head strap, probably with a battery pack on it. I guess thats to be expected for the price. I wish I could just use the head strap from my quest 2, mine still works fine.
I think the passthrough being color is great, it would be perfect if it didnt warp what you see, that can mess with my eyes.

I am happy with my purchase and look forward to the games ill play on it.

Very disappointed that the software does not allow spatial anchoring or many augmented reality options until next year. Don’t sell the hardware if the software isn’t ready.

Holy bad battery

Battery eats through - full charged external batteries cannot even keep up barely. Also I get alot of connection issues with q3 that i do not have with q2. Graphics are way better but i dont think the headset hardware and software are ready to keep up with demands of games or population one at least. MR is cool - see through is not as clear as shown in ads.

Happy with the new Quest 3

I am a current owner of a quest 2. I recently purchased the quest 3. I have enjoyed playing almost all of my games and apps like never before due the clarity of visual details and tracking of the controllers. Everything is much better now. I especially like playing mixed reality games because of moving around in my home environment seeing both the game and surroundings at the same time.

uncomfortable is an understatement

the facial interface is extremely uncomfortable and harmed further by the very bad head strap. It’s super itchy and in longer usage feels like it’s going to leave a rash. and the lenses aren’t quite edge to edge clarity though still better than the 2
