Honestly one of the best headsets to have used in my life, but sadly the head strap has the tendency to genuinely hurt when worn for more than two hours and the battery life by itself only works for a little over two hours when using the headset. I would love meta make a software update that would allow us to turn off some aspects of headset that we don't use often or have a power saving mode that would allow us to play and use the headset for longer. Honestly the biggest issues that I would have would be that the headset doesn't last too long and the head strap that it comes with will give headaches when worn for too long.

Not a killer upgrade from the Q1

I have a Quest version 1 and used it quite a bit over the last few years playing games online with friends. I upgraded to the Q3 this year since it's clear the Q1 is getting deprecated and no longer receiving updates on the games I play the most. However I find the upgrade overall to be a mixed bag from the Q1. First of all despite being lighter I found the Q3 to be a lot less comfortable to wear. The facial interface is 3/4 inch less across and my glasses did not fit inside, requiring me to buy the prescription snap ins. Even after that I found the face mask no were nearly as comfortable as on the Q1. The smaller size and more stiff, uncomfortable material just doesn't work on my face. The head strap you get is no where as good as what the Q1 had and even the 'pro' upgrade is IMHO not as good. The device has better sound and sharper graphics although darks and colors seem washed out compared to the OLED screen.
All in all this thing is in some ways a better than the Q1 but also several steps down in terms of comfort. I'm disappointed but am keeping it since I have no choice as the Q1 is no longer getting support.
I gave setup five starts since I had no trouble transferring my games and account from the Q1 over to the Q3. But Meta needs to work on comfort. I find overall Im using the Q3 less than the Q1 because its uncomfortable to wear.

Quest 3 - Amazing device, for a great price

Pros:
Price Point: For the features and quality offered, the Quest 3 is reasonably priced and provides great value for money.
Streamlined Setup: The setup process for the Quest 3 is incredibly streamlined and hassle-free. A straightforward experience right out of the box. Easy to establish a play area in any location at a minute's notice.
Wireless Freedom: The ability to move around without wires is a game-changer. It greatly enhances the immersion and flexibility of the VR experience.
Mixed Reality & Passthrough: The passthrough feature is excellent. I can easily read my phone and interact with my surroundings. It might be a tad hazy, but it's a minor quibble considering the overall utility.
Hand Tracking: A nice feature to have, especially for moments when you're hands-free. However, while useful, it's not as precise as it could be. There's potential for improvement in future iterations. It's probably that software updates can even improve this feature as time goes on.
Game Quality: The resolution and refresh rate of the games are top-notch. Immersive visuals and smooth gameplay contribute to an overall fantastic experience. The field of view seems slightly less than my Valve Index, but it's not noticeable unless you're really trying to focus on it.
Motion Sickness: Personally, I've experienced no motion sickness whatsoever, although individual experiences may vary. The improved refresh rate definitely has something to do with this. I will say that I do have a high tolerance for VR motion, but it does seem improved over past Quest products.
Cons:
Straps Quality: Both the headstrap and the controller straps leave a bit to be desired. Third-party options, and even some from Meta, offer better quality. This compromise, however, likely plays a part in keeping the device affordable.
Conclusion: The Quest 3 offers a seamless VR experience, blending quality, affordability, and user-friendliness. While there's always room for improvement, particularly in the strap quality and hand tracking precision, it's an excellent device for both VR enthusiasts and newcomers. Highly recommended!

Solid Platform Potential, Bad Tracking

This is my first VR experience ever. Out of the box everything about the Quest 3 felt engaging and great. I wanted to get in to VR primarily for Beatsaber, and the process of getting better at songs was so much fun!
However, about a month in I’m trying to play Expert+ songs and the controller tracking is not good enough. It loses tracking completely at times, it loses accuracy often, and the experience suffers greatly.
Other games are fun and handle well enough, but I bought the Q3 and almost all of its official accessories to enhance my Beatsaber experience. It has left an incredibly sour note to what could have been a great tune.

Hardware is better. Software lacking.

I shouldn't have to reset my Quest to factory settings to change the admin account associated with the device. I shouldn't have to use the phone app to pair new controllers. These software limitations among others are very frustrating. I really wish Meta would make everything stupid simple. There's also not enough content. I don't understand why Meta with all of their billions of dollars spent every year on VR doesn't develop the games people really want. Let me tell you, cartoon worlds is not it!! Please Meta come to grips with this and start delivering awesome content.

I played on the Quest2 and now bought Quest 3, I like the Quest 3 but still need to optimize Golf + on the graphics which is the reason why I bought Quest 3 because it's the only game I play. The graphics is a little better but there no WOW!!! like I was expecting but the Quest 3 is great don't get me wrong especially with the reality and other features and I am sure once I get the game that is suppose to be delivered buying Quest 3 it will be a better experience but I am really a Golf + gamer.
