Better in some ways worse in others

Q3 is clearly faster than Q2 and has better resolution and lenses but battery life is shorter and tracking of the controllers is noticably worse. This is a big problem for competitive Beat Saber players. Fast movements are "fudged" by the headset and often inaccurate. I think the rings on the controllers are needed for the headset to track them accurately throughout the full range of motion. Hope they can resolve this or offer replacements.
I have purchased a Quest 1, a Quest 2, and now a Quest 3 and this is by far the most comfortable of all. The previous Quedts were so uncomfortable I could only wear them for about 15 minutes before I could not stand it anymore. Quest 3 with Pro Headstrap with Battery will happily sit on my head and face for at least 2 hours with no discomfort . The graphics are much sharper and the MR is a pleasant surprise. I see a lot of potential with the use of MR. Using Airlink from my PC is almost flawless so I can still play all my PCVR favorites like Asgards Wrath, Lone Echo 1 & 2, Alyx, No Mans Sky, etc. The audio is also much improved and so far I have not needed to use my earbuds. I love this thing.
This headset is superior to the Q2 on every conceivable metric. Full color pass through with depth sensing with the improved optical stack and processing has made it from an enthusiast toy into a console I have gotten two others to buy now (except I did have to also tell them to order 3rd party head straps because the stock comfort is awful and first party accessories are unreasonably expensive for what they are). It's great at what it does, but I think the market needs a headset that does all of this but better. Faster chip, better displays, eye tracking, and integrated battery headstrap would make a true value proposition over the vision pro and it's incipient competitors.
Pairing quest 3 with a high end pc and virtual desktop is mind blowingly awesome. Processing of pc graphics is way better on the new chipset. The battery life suffers greatly with the new performance demands and the cost of accessories is unforgivably high, but when aftermarket solutions start showing up it will be close to perfect.
In order to play like all my vr games I have to connect it to my computer. Quest link is pretty bad because anytime my internet slows down it is completely unplayable. This means to play I have to rely on a third party program (virtual desktop) so that I can actually play. I would just buy a link cable but that would kinda take away the point of having a wireless headset.
