Love my new Meta 3... Needs bigger battery!

Have really been enjoying a love my new Meta 3. I've been playing alot of Population: One and my only complaint is that a week in and a Pop One session barely gives me an hour and a half before it dies. (Sometime only about an hour and 20).
I get that because of the higher definition, features and cpu it was going to consume more power, but a bigger battery should have been included. Other than that, a drastic improvement from Meta Quest 2.

Really good improvement

I've had an excellent experience with the Meta Quest 3. The improvements over the Quest 2 are substantial, boasting better image quality and significantly faster system performance. The mixed reality feature adds a whole new layer of excitement to my VR adventures. However, there are two minor concerns. Firstly, the comfort of the Quest 3's straps could be improved for longer sessions. Secondly, the battery life falls short in some demanding games, not lasting a full 2 hours. Thankfully, both of these issues can be easily addressed with the right accessories. Overall, the Meta Quest 3 has provided me with a fantastic VR experience, with these minor drawbacks not significantly affecting my overall enjoyment.

Is great when it works

I normally play VR games like flight simulator. Quest 3 is a big upgrade from the 2. Unfortunately I have to orchestrate with the link cable plugging it in and out in order to link it with the PC. Its been a month and still hasn’t been resolved.

Better than the pro

Believe it or not, this is better than the pro. More comfortable to wear, less eye strain, and they fixed the annoying orange glow from the edge of the lens in dark scenes. The AR works great too.

Lack of software ruins amazing hardware

I love the quest 3 as I loved the quest 2 (which is still a very good product). The hardware is amazing and the price point is terrific. What a great value the quest is. What more can be said? Best devices on the market.
The problem that remains with the quest is a lack of software. There's very little good apps and even less mixed reality apps.
Meta is going to need to step in and use some funding to fund software development. I don't know if they can do more to attract developers or not, but they have the capital so they should do it.
Same thing hurts all VR and is why Apple won't be successful here either.
I'm saying it right now (and I've said it in the past), the first company to get the quality and popular software will win this game. Forget the hardware for a moment. It's been on the level since quest 2. VR is NOT a hardware game (at the moment) it's a software game.
I don't know how they can't figure this out. I'm not sure how they allowed such a lackluster release. All they had to do was line up some apps for launch. Horrible failure of a launch and product PURELY because of software. So I have to rate it a 5 star because of the hardware, but someone over at Meta needs to wake up. It blows my mind no one there can figure this out and fix it.

Wonderous

I have had every single iteration of the Quest and the Rift prior. Meta never ceases to amaze me with how much technology goes into such a device and their focus on ensuring that users have the best experience is reflected in their software. Truly, it's astounding.
The Meta Quest 3 is by far the best VR headset on the market. Period. You'll read from my reviewers about the improved optics, processor, etc. but really, bringing in mixed reality with a depth sensor is just something you have to experience to appreciate. When games are interacting with your home, it's just makes for such a fun experience. Literally every day I'm checking the store to see if there is any new mixed reality content and games.
TLDR
For those that have a Quest 2, yeah, it's 100% worth the upgrade if you have the money. If this is your first VR device, yeah, it's 100% worth the purchase.
*For transparency, I do not work for Meta, I do not have any friends or family at Meta. I don't even own the stock. Simply put they're the ones that have been driving VR since its inception and they're doing a great job at it.

I started my VR journey with the original HTC vive... and now we are here?!? I almost can't believe this. The quest 3 is a massive leap from the quest 2. Not only do I do house chores while watching my favorite anime in mixed reality, but I can use my quest 3 for for seamless PCVR through a Wi-Fi 6E router. (Seriously thank you for making Wi-Fi 6e a thing on this headset.) The pancake lenses look incredible, lense adjustment is leagues better than the old slot adjustment, smaller size of the headset makes the weight distribution much better, and full color passthrough cameras make mixed reality actually useable for the first time in an affordable headset. At this point in time if anybody asks me about what headset they should get, My immediate reply would be a quest 3. There are so many uses for it with or without a PC that it's kind of a no-brainer at this point. I do have one gripe though, COMFORT. I would highly suggest getting a silicone face gasket or else you will basically have a salty sponge pressed against your forehead after a few hours of gameplay. The head strap that initially ships with the headset is pretty garbage as well and causes a lot of the headset weight to sit on the top of your nose or cheekbones. Bobo VR has made an incredible headsrap that fixes this issue and makes the experience far more comfortable. Take notes from them meta! You guys have created a wonderful headset! If you guys can get the comfort aspect down, you will dominate the VR market for sure.
