Works GREAT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we've only used out new blender to make frozen alcoholic drinks. I'm enjoying my mixed drinks much more now that I have handy dandy blender. It blends up the ice very fast and efficient. The fruit that I add in also gets blended quite well and really makes the perfect drink. I is very well made and cleans up very easily. The bottom of the canister screws off for easy cleaning. We are going to start making healthy smoothies for our family and I have no doubt this blender will make the perfect smoothie. My friend is jealous and wants my blender. Thinking I better get her one for her birthday.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for smoothies and milkshakes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i usually prepare natural drink everyday and having this blender made things easier for me. What I love the most is that I can directly select the option i want "smoothie", milkshakes or salsa. It is also possible to select the texture "thin" "medium" or "thick" . For those who prefer the manual settings there is a possibility to adjust the speed manually. It is a very Poweful blender as it is able to easily Crush ice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got my new Oster Pro Blender with Texture Select and I absolutely love it. Not only is it really sleek and stylish looking, it is really functional as well. It has 9 pre-programmed settings taking a lot of the confusing guesswork out of your blending. It has 1200 watts of blending power which covers basically any need. The Dual-Direction blade technology reverses the blades to help blend through different types of ingredients with ease. The easy to understand instructions had me up and running in no time like a pro. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a really nice quality blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this has an 8 cup jar. It’s very large but light weight. The features are fantastic, texture settings make thick or thin salsa. Love the preprogrammed settings so it will do all the work for me. Blades are dual duration for tough dicing. Love how my smoothies come out. It is a great addition to my kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were in the market for a blender because ours currently died. I didn't think much of the blender I owned. So I was excited to give Oster a chance with their Pro Blender. This blender is awesome! It has a big container so it holds a great deal of ingredients in it. We have made smoothies and sauces so far with it. It is beyond easy to use. Literally with a push of a button you can make it as thick as you want or as smooth. You can unscrew the top and add ingredients as you go as well. I like my smoothies to have pieces of the fruit in it while my daughter loves completely smooth. I'm able to adjust any food to any kind of texture we're seeking. And the cleaning process? Beyond simple. With other blenders I've owned, when it came time to clean the blade, it was a nightmare. I would end up missing spots because it was stuck to the cup and I was afraid of getting cut. But not with this blender. It unscrews for easy cleaning! I was blown away. I was able to clean it effectively and safely. It's great! Perfect food and easy cleaning. Definitely my kind of appliance. I am beyond pleased with this blender and I highly recommend

Nice blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this blender at just the right time. My blender died and I started using the new Oster blender with texture control and honestly have been throughly impressed. I use my blender regularly as I drink a lot of smoothies and indulge in milkshakes here and there. The blender holds 8 cups, or 63 ounces. The blender has several different settings with multiple texture options. You can set the blender to make salsa, milkshakes or smoothies the texture to thin, medium or thick. You also have options for speed- slow, medium, or high. When making smoothies, the blender does really well getting through the frozen fruits and making it the consistency I have chosen (typically med to thick). I am able to use blueberries again in my smoothies as this blender shreds the blueberry small enough to get the chunks through the straw without clogging the straw, or getting stuck in your throat. The blender did not do very well on milkshake mode. I attempted to make a thick milkshake and it went through the cycle and when it was finished, the ingredients had barely been mixed. I had ro run the milkshake setting twice for the blender to blend all of the ingredients smoothly. Overall, I would totally purchase another Oster blender with texture control due to the fact that it works so well and blends at different textures.

Great for smoothies

Although we use this mostly for smoothies and milkshakes it can be used for a wide variety of items.
Crushes ice very easily and it doesnt seem like the motor is overworking (like some other blenders we have owned).
Overall it is relatively quiet so it does not scare my baby (like the vacuum cleaner).
Its built very well and looks good on the counter as well.

It has different settings that pulse the blades to get what kind of food consistency you want easily. The shape of the pitcher allows for it to blend all of its contents evenly. The blender seams to be under powered and in pulses seems to be slow to ramp up. When blending harder stuff, this blender struggles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
