The magnets are quite strong so the device does the job of holding knives and tools safely and securely. The design is industrial, no-frills, and appropriate to the task. The mounting system is simple: two detachable plastic tabs that hide the two required screws; you should not try to use sticky tape on this device because of the mass of steel it will be supporting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great knife bar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] makes my kitchen very aesthetically pleasing, fits 3 knives and 2 pairs of scissors nicely. the only qualm I have is that the knife bar was tricky to install, the instructions were not very clear.

It is screwed into the wall, so it won't fall down no matter how many knives you hang on it, and it is magnetic all the way to the ends... no dead spots!
