excellent Product

After searching all around my city and spending some serious time on the intertubes, I finally found a product to do exactly what I need. As a dvi-d only has a digital output, a lot of the converters confuse you with dvi-i and the other just don't work. This one converts the signal well and you get a crisp image. I am running a KVM switch across two computers and two monitors and this product fits in well.

Worked for me depending on which display I used
on November 13, 2014
Posted by: chris0915
The first VGA monitor I tried displayed "out of range" and would not work at all. The second VGA monitor I tried (different model than first one) gave "out of range" while PC booted up but then gave an excellent picture once Windows login screen appeared. The third VGA monitor I tried (different model than the other two) would not diplay the BIOS boot information like the other three, but gave me the Windows splash screen while loading and finally the login screen. Unfortunately, there was a thick, black, bar across the screen about an inch from the top that split the screen such that the task bar was up top above the black bar but not accessable with the mouse. Changing screen options did nothing. So, it only worked with one out of three displayes so far and with that display it's just fine. Be prepared to return it if necessary.

Does not support 1920 x 1200
on November 28, 2016

The maximum resolution the product is suppose to support doesn't work. The highest I can get is 1920 x 1080 and that doesn't work for my monitor. I have the power source plugged in and tried various cables and sources. I am not sure what to troubleshoot next with this product. Are there defective units that doesn't support the maximum resolution?

Hello,

Thanks for sharing this with us. We hope we can help.

You mention various cables and sources. What are those cable lengths? Cables that are too long can sometimes cause max resolution issues. Also, lower quality cables can also lead to lower than expected resolutions.

You will also want to make sure the video card drivers are up to date from the manufacturer of your computer's video card.

One of our technical advisors will be in touch via the email provided to offer further assistance.

Thank you

Hi,

We're curious about the issue your having and would like to get more detail from you.

There are not any special requirements for this product other than being sure you are connecting your DVI-D source to a VGA display, and not the opposite direction.

Please contact us at 1-800-265-1844 or email us at support.

It's not working properly.

I just got this in the mail today. I cannot get it to work without my screen flickering. I tried rebooting my machine and still had the same issue, with and without the extra USB power plugged in.
It definitely feels nicer than most products like this, the build quality seems top notch.
Hopefully I can get it working.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing this with us.

How long is the VGA cable you are using? Too long of a cable can cause the issue you are experiencing. The quality of VGA can also cause flickering. We would suggest using a high-quality VGA cable such as our MXT101MMHQ Coax based VGA cable.

If a shorter cable and/or a higher quality cable does not stop the flickering, there is a chance the adapter you have is faulty and we would be happy to send you a replacement.

Please get in touch with our Technical Advisory Team and they would be happy to assist you in replacing the adapter.

Thank you
