Lacking easy to use route builders

The unit works as described. Has a very bright screen that is easy to see at all times night or day. Easy to navigate and use as while in route I needed to find gas stations. The only drawback that I find is the software that is used on the home computer when you are planning out route you need to use two programs. The first program is my Google Maps, then you have to save the route on the computer and open it up in another program called Explorer which automatically updates it to the cloud and to the unit. Garmin should come up with one easy to use program where you can make a route and send it to the Zumo.
I’m happy with the GPS, I’m not happy that I can’t get Garmin Tread on my lap top! I have been using Basecamp making and organizing tracks and routes for twenty years and now I have to send them to Gaia to transfer them to Tread on my phone? Big disappointment!
can't review what I do not have. It was sent back because of the lack of information about it not working with basecamp and the need for an app that really doesn't work either. I would recomment anyone looking to purchase the XT3 go elseware. I think Garmin has lost it's way.
nowhere in the online description did they indicate that this unit would not work with the basecamp application. Only after purchasing the unit and reading the instructions did I learn the flaw.
The Zumo XT3 seems to work well, but learning how to import GPX files can be difficult. The import menu is buried behind waypoints. Then, trying to find the tracks menu to convert to a route is buried again. I thought this was a navigation device and not a social media device. Very little extras above an XT2 that require the upgrade to an XT3. No videos are showing you how to use the device and its integration with the Garmin apps. In my opinion, the only advantage the Garmin XT Device provides over cellular mapping products is the providing navigation where there is no Cellular connectivity.
