I bought this because it was a very good price for a system with 32GB and 1TB storage. It works well, and lets me develop a blog using ASP.NET. No problem running SQL server and other software needed for it. As a thin laptop, I don't use it for games; it would probably overheat. But it does what I need it to do well.
This is the fourt HP laptop and they have all been quite functional - primarily used for MS Office applications (sometimes multiple apps and multiple files at the same time - Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook). Occasional simple games while waiting on the phone. One issue with this new OmniBook 5 - the 'Copilot' key position seems to have displaced the CNTRL key on the right and is positioned so that a 'miss' using the left arrow brings up Copilot - a pain.
Good computer, runs smoothly, touch screen works well. Hopefully it can last me a while, my last laptop was only 2 years old and ran out of space completely when I updated to Windows 11. Bummer when the system takes the entire bit storage you have on there.
While Omnibook 5 is practical size with acceptable functions, the lack of memory card slots and touch screen makes the it less user friendly. I regret the purchase.
So far, I am not loving this computer. It randomly freezes regularly and has to be turned off. The laptop also restarts randomly. I have adjusted the settings, and nothing seems to help.
