The knife is absolutely wonderful, it cuts right through the foil in one go. However, the secondary hinge when you're trying to pull the cork is slightly too long and makes it want to kick out a bit in the pulling up motion... while it's usable, it makes it a bit awkward when i'm doing wine service at a table. The search for perfect wine key continues I fear.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Smooth as silk. Heavy in my hand. Incredibly well built. The coated corkscrew will take a little time to get used to, it slips a bit when first entering the cork. And the double action lever will take some time to be efficient with it.

Beautiful waiters knife. The pictures do it no justice and the handle has grey marbling interspersed with the black. The only thing that would have been better is if they advised that the delivery will be reflected as Channel Advisor by UPS. This caused great confusion as I was on vacation, had not expected the package to arrive 6 days early, and had to arrange for a neighbor to get said “mysterious” delivery.
