After using this sharpener not only were my knives not sharp but they seemed more dull than before sharpening with this tool. The directions were followed. After sharpening, the knives would not cut cleanly through a tomato or an onion. The knives performed poorly on many other food items as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
