DURABLE. Did I mention they are DURABLE?

My wife and I have a pair of these that we've had now for over 20 years, that we bought in Germany. After that long, they're finally in need of sharpening. We would just get them sharpened, if we live in Germany, but here in FL, knife and shear sharpening is, apparently, a lost art. So, we're getting another pair, that will likely last longer than we will. :)

Heirloom quality

Our mother had a pair of these all our lives; she called them her "kitchen shears" and they followed her for years, through three different houses. They have been lost (since her death), and as soon as I saw these on your website I bought a pair for myself and each of my siblings for Christmas this year. I have to order a few more, since the grands now want their own.... Great product; solidly built; sharp edge(s); don't buy them if you don't love them, 'cause they're going to be around (and functioning) for a long time.

Old world forged steel means quality

These are made the best way possible - the old fashioned way but with the help of the newest technology. The structural integrity that comes from forging steel and precision sharpening them means these shears will be in your kitchen for a lifetime. The come with extras - two ways to open bottle caps and a lid lifter - nice bonuses, but the reason to buy these is they will stay sharp. Herbs and lettuces, softer fruits and vegetables will be sliced cleanly. Meats and poultry, raw and cooked, will have nice neat edges. Hand wash these scissors to keep them looking an performing like new.

Ultimate Scissors

These may need to be designated as "MOM'S" for no one else to use. They are such a high quality pair of scissors; forged and hardened in Germany, just like the Pro knives. They will have amazing edge retention and can cut through some of the thickest materials. As an added bonus, they can open a bottle or loosen a jar lid. I love the red handle! It certainly lets you know they're something special.

The new shears replace a pair we bought in Germany about a quarter of a century ago. They are, as one might expect from Zwilling, of impeccable quality.
The only thing I wish they had, is the really fine serrations that the earlier pair had - that feature really helped when cutting up chickens. (And it might be that they don't make them that way anymore, or even that I ordered the wrong item.)

There’s a fine line between frivolous and ‘you get what you pay for.’ These are worth it. a pleasure to use. They could be the last set you buy. So buy it already.

The Red Part Chips

Great shears except the red paint on the handle chips over time - and quite easily. I’ve had them about 4 months and lovingly care for them, always hand wash. The paint is still chipped in many places and looks bad. I wish they sold these as all stainless steel without a painted handle. Love my Zwilling Pro knives, but these are a fail for me.
